Personal Writing: My Poor House
<view this essay>.... potpourri
spilled out of the kitchen, where my mother had a little pot full of it..
The freshly painted walls were covered with portraits of family members and
friends, which hung neatly in their fancy wooden frames. The fibers of the
recently vacuumed carpet stood at attention displaying how clean they were.
The varnished oak coffee-table glistened as the moonlight shined through
the crystal clear window reflecting off its soft glossy finish. All the
furniture was aligned perfectly with the symmetry of the room, like a life
size geometry proof. My mother's knickknacks were arranged neatly in their
proper order on top of the entertainment center. All o .....

Going To The Beach
<view this essay>.... Although it really is careless relaxation, my friends and I always
preferred to travel to wild places. After the complicated life of the big city,
with its intense traffic and polluted air, with its endless problems, union with
nature seemed to us the most worthwhile way to relax.
Getting prepared for the trip already made me excited. It was very
important not to forget anything. Finally, when all preparations were made, and
the cars loaded up, we, following our chosen route, dreamed of our coming
adventures. On that particular vacation, we had chosen a place named Blue Lakes.
It was really a place of wildlife. In the summer, the forest was
beautiful .....

Creative Story: The Chronic Swamp Murders
<view this essay>.... fallen out of a tree or just tripped and broken
his neck. A broken neck was definitely what killed the man. The only problem
with this hypothesis was that it left a few unanswered questions. If the man
was a hunter where did his gun or bow go? How often did you find a dead hunter
just lying in the middle of a swamp? Even with these questions police told the
Hemps that it was an accident and they were in no danger.
The Hemp's life went on with no interruptions until about two weeks
after the hunter was found. Another body had been found in the swamp. This
time the body was a male whom had a business suit on. The police came back and
investigated t .....

Creative Story: Intellegence
<view this essay>.... a smart man, very smart, who had built his store and
his fortune out of blood, toil, tears, and sweat. Goldstein was also an

anything extra, out of the ordinary, for anyone but himself.
On the other side of town there was a new arrival to the city. This
man's name was Running Bear. He was an American Indian who had gone to New York

of monetary deprivation on the plains of Colorado, and had proceeded to New York
by Amtrak with only a dollar and a dream. Things did not go as planned, though;
he c .....

was about as clear as Phil's. It sounded nasal and rusty, as though she had
been talking her whole life and was about ready to give it up for good. "I'm

the world. Cabela's will be opening tomorrow afternoon at three o'clock, and
the management is expecting nearly half the population of Sidney to show up for
the grand opening event. In the past few nights, we have been bringing you

Going Out On My Own
<view this essay>.... there and knew I was looking for an excuse to move out on my own. Since this was my first time on my own it didn’t hurt that it was only thirty miles from home and I could get help if it was needed.
Joe was leaving his job at Kelly’s, a local restaurant in downtown Norman, and thought I might be interested in replacing him. I came down and met with Rick Rubinski, the owner, who turned out to be an old hippie friend of my father’s from the early seventies, and was hired on the spot. I was hired as a cook and was soon running the kitchen for the day shift. Our menu mainly consisted of home cooked favorites such as boiled pot roast with new potatoes and honey .....

forgot. When I began to demonstrate this to him, several of the other students
noticed and began to talk quietly amongst themselves. Later that day, at lunch
time, I was approached by some of the other students in my class.
"Hey, could you help us change our grades in algebra?" They asked. "I
dont know... I might get caught..." I answered reluctantly. "Aww... come on....
what are you, chicken?" they taunted. "We'll pay you...."
At that moment I began to think. I could not believe what I was hearing.
I could get paid for something very simple. "Alright. I'll do it. What were your
last names again?" I said.
The next day my algebra teacher got m .....

Personal Writing: The Day Of Surprise
<view this essay>.... 14 had overcome every
other thought I previously had. It might seem funny to some that I held
that one day with such great esteem, but to me it was unlike any other
holiday. On Valentines Day I felt loved by everyone. On that day, I would
obtain the card that I had picked out from my father. Classmates would
give everyone Valentine cards. Some extremely generous kids would even
attach candy to the cards. It didn't matter if you hated each other, on
Valentines Day everyone put aside their differences and even presented
cards to the children nobody liked. That one day of love seemed to unify
the worst of foes through love and forgiveness. I could hardl .....
