Creative Story: Joseph
<view this essay>.... only five years of age.
Joey never talked about his parents, it was like he was still mad at them. He
never understood that his parents were poor and could not carry the burden of
taking care of him. His parents thought they were doing the right thing by
dropping him off at this church which was SUPPOSED to take care of him so that
he could grow up with a normal life. In 1936 it was hard growing up in Germany.
In the town we lived in there was never peace, the nuns would not tell us that,
but we knew we all knew, accept for little Joseph. Nazi's would come in the
church and try to teach us their "superior" ways. None of us fell for it,
except Joseph. I g .....

Creative Writing: The Competitors
<view this essay>.... as the capacity crowd of 300,000 had settled, they would
no longer be comrades brought together by the common bond that friendship makes
but enemies of the battle field each one jockeying for the upper hand.
As the referee announced there was half an hour left before game time, a few
players huddled together to say a quick prayer while others gathered around the
head coach for a final word of advice. One of the competitors listening to
this advice was Matt Williams or "The Destroyer", as he was known by the crowd.
He was a powerfully built young man who was in the possession of deep opaline

Finding A Job
<view this essay>.... taught how to repair microphones and cords as well as how to mix sound for live shows. . For about a year I traveled with them and even got a chance to meet Louise Mandrell when the band opened for her in Independence, Kansas. I learned much about the music business in that time and suddenly it didn't seem as enchanting as it had before. The knowledge I had gained during this time was beneficial, but the ego's that were involved were more than I could deal with at that time.I enjoyed the job greatly but the pay was not steady. I then started looking for employment that would provide a more stable income.
I applied at many different businesses and g .....

Creative Writing: The Meadow
<view this essay>.... scents, and sounds of the meadow.
The beauty of the meadow in the summer is unequaled. My memories
contained many images of this special place. Snow covered mountains extend high
above the heavens; thus, setting the backdrop to the meadow. Wildflowers
speckled the base of the mountain becoming more abundant near the babbling
brook. The brook ran through the middle of the meadow turning, and twisting
around the enormous oak tree. The lush green grass grew around the tree like
hair on a dog's back. Birds flew through the radiant blue sky diving for
insects. My thoughts reflect relaxation as my mind focuses on the pleasing
imagery.
The sounds of the me .....

Creative Story: Deadlock
<view this essay>.... that her pact with the satans, as she thought of them,
known to the robotics world as the team of Powell and Donovan. She stretched,
rolled out of bed, and went downstairs, wrapping a robe around her as she went,
to get some coffee. "Well, since I'm already up, I might as well take a look at
the rest of those Rasssjemani-Quazaric-Smith Equations and see why they were
causing all those robots to go psycho," she thought. "Good thing that U.S.
Robots and Mechanical Men hushed up that little incident, I'd be out of a job if
the whole world, the xenophobic and primally-fearful lot of them, knew about
that!" As she got out and buttered her toast, she mulled the day a .....

Creative Writing: Haunted Mansion
<view this essay>.... As I walked to the back of the kitchen, I noticed a door. I
stared at it. A second later it opened! I ran out of the kitchen as fast as
I could and ran up the stairs.
Up stairs it was even darker. I saw a long narrow hallway with a
lot of doors on both sides and on the end. I checked all of the doors and I
could only get into one of them. I walked into the one that I could get
into and heard someone yelling and pleading. I grew scared but then noticed
it wasn't a person. It looked like a hologram, but you could see and hear
him. He seemed to be pleading for his life. I could not see whom he was
talking to, but I don't think it was a person. The man was .....

The 1930s
<view this essay>.... only time they got to eat, was when the farmers herded
them along the sides of the roads. And there was not a lot of rain either,
so they did not have a lot to drink.
Men would work all day for fifty cents, and for their meals. Also,
a lot of men had to use the Workers Progress Association to get enough
money for them and their families to survive.
Cars in the 1930's were much different than the cars today. Hand
cranks were replaced with electric starters. Heaters were factory
installed to replace mainfold heaters that were available for owner
installation. Those who did not have heaters put hot coals under their car
to get the oil warm before they .....
