Natural Hierarchies In Society
<view this essay>.... each other.
Politica - Book 1, covers many topics, with hierarchies being the protagonist part of Aristotle's explanations. He mentioned hierarchies between the family and state; body and soul; man and woman; and freeman and slave. Aristotle explained that the state was prior to the family. After all, Aristotle stated that "man is by nature a political animal." (Aristotle, 556). The state is established for the good of everyone as whatever man produced was for a benefit. The state also brought the good out of man. Without the state, man would be "either a beast or a god." (Aristotle, 557).
The soul was naturally higher than the body as it naturally govern .....

Violence In The Media
<view this essay>.... has kept me away from guns. We simply aren't allowed
to view violence and sex because... well, I can't think of a good reason. But,
hey, at least the government sucks at censoring stuff. I'm 13 and I've seen
Playboys. I've seen at least a gajillion R rated movies, and I can walk into any
store in Connecticut and buy some M rated video games. You know why? No one
cares anymore. They're as desensitized as we are, and that's a good thing. It is
a sad fact that we find violence so entertaining, but hell, it is. I freaking
love to see movies where there are more scenes of mindless violence than there
are actual scenes of acting. These movies are aimed at the lo .....

Animal Testing
<view this essay>.... fed, made to live in filth, and sometimes have their vocal chords ripped out to keep them quiet. The practice is inhumane, unethical, and entirely unnecessary. This cruelty should not only be regulated, but also outlawed entirely. Animals should not be used to test such products as cosmetics.
Science has shown that all vertebrates feel pain the same way we do. Yet, needless and painful experiments are preformed repeatedly on them without anesthesia. For something like cosmetics this is ridiculous. Karen Stevens, the founder and president of the organization All For Animals, founded in 1992, says; "There is no law that requires companies to test their .....

Greed
<view this essay>.... system is also based on a certain kind of , that, without it, may stay outdated.
The being discussed here is called incentive , which is necessary to keep society as a whole moving forward. The harmful , which may only benefit a few people, will hurt the majority. Incentive keeps the spirit of ambition alive in each and every one of us. We can keep improving our current status legally without hurting other people by using our current skills as best as we can and more efficiently. When a system gives an individual the opportunity to improve, then this system will remain moving forward. The free economic system in the United States is progressing and will conti .....

Video Games: "Ummmm? I Do…buttt…. C'mon I'll Play Ya "
<view this essay>.... John thought (for about half a second) and responded with, "Ummmm….," and the rest is history. This dilemma can be heard in any dorm or fraternity house across the nation, and that phrase summarizes college life for most male students. With the added pressures of grades, girls, and life: it's an easy way to find a release that many video games offer. Unfortunetly, this fun and relaxing pastime comes with its own consequenses. Many guys start every night with the idea of finishing much of their homework in one sitting, but that one roommate, suite mate, or just that guy down the hall comes in with the bright idea to put all that away and sta .....

Gender Inbalances In School
<view this essay>.... at fault and should be looked at. True that could be a reason, but is turning your back going to help? No.
I believe that they are correct to say that the practices that went on in primary schools when today’s college students were there did not promote women in these fields. It may have changed since then, but today’s females have either no interest in these fields or are not capable of entering them. I know that they (females) can do the work but there may be glass walls preventing them from entering.
I don’t believe that it is a “fruitless” effort to engage in a way that would promote women in these fields. Since I have been in college I have change m .....

Marriage In Japan
<view this essay>.... lives with one¡¯s family until one gets married, which means one keeps the parent-child relationship. Therefore it is hard for a Japanese man to learn to be independent. After he gets married, he now relies on his bride for having foods, doing laundry, and many other things. Takeo Doi explains it with the term of amae that means the seeking or causing of oneself to be loved, nurtured, and indulged. He says it is an active attempt to make oneself into a passive love object. One reason why a man continues depending on someone else is that he has been witnessed what his parents have been done and now he considers himself as a head of his own family. In case of .....

Existentialism
<view this essay>.... meaning in his life, just simply existing, until he made decisive
choice about his own future. That is the way to achieve dignity as a human
being. Existentialists felt that adopting a social or political cause was
one way of giving purpose to a life. Sartre is well known for the "Theatre
engage" or Theatre 'commited', which is supposedly commited to social
and/or political action.
On of the major playwrights during this period was Jean-Paul Sartre.
Sartre had been imprisoned in Germany in 1940 but managed to escape, and
become one of the leaders of the Existential movement. Other popular
playwrights were Albert Camus, and Jean Anouilh. Just lik .....
