Time To Change
<view this essay>.... caused by humans and their inventions
cause a major dilemma. Automobile exhaust fumes and factory pollutants are only
a couple of the impurities causing damaging affects to the ozone layer and
atmosphere. We depend on the ozone to defend us from harmful UV rays. Finally,
we have a major impact on the degeneration of natural resources. Millions of
gallons of oil, coal, and other valuable resources are wasted each day. These
are just a few of the human disruptions to nature available to our knowledge.
We are conscious of many more, and there are probably others that we are not
aware of. If we do not start taking them seriously soon it will be too .....

The Application Of Science To Engineering
<view this essay>.... in
1831. This discovery was applied to mechanical generation of electricity which
made tremendous improvements to communications throughout Canada. The electric
telegraph, first discovered in 1837 by Samuel Morse, was a great improvement
over the mechanical telegraph which required the use of a telescope and was much
less effective. It encodes messages electrically, transmits them over
facilities such as copper wire, coaxial cable, and fibre optics to their
destination where they are decoded into their original form. Combinations of
long and short bursts of electric current are sent through a circuit thereby
encoding each letter of the alphabet. Mor .....

Put simply, gives the humble and ubiquitous copper wires that run throughout the world to provide POTS (plain old telephone service), the capacity to send enormous volumes of data at very high speeds. With , it's not just a phone line, it's a lifestyle.
Some s do that in parallel with the standard voice service, all on the same line and at the same time. Some deliver higher speeds or wider bandwidth - the more dense the data you are sending, the wider the bandwidth you need for quality and speedy transmission. Still others deliver higher capacity for downloading than for uploading .....

Creationism Vs. Evolution
<view this essay>.... the creation of mankind rather than blindly accepting faith-filled beliefs we may received from our parents as children. Perhaps it is because we live in a nation filled with many peoples of different beliefs whose Gods are all so varied and different that it is difficult to fathom that they are all the same divine being. It is also plausible that we just have a desire to quench the thirst for knowledge that lies deep within ourselves. As for myself, I cannot believe in a being which created a universe and a multitude of worlds in a rather short period of time then deigns to lower itself into becoming a puppet-master and "pulling the strings" of the Ea .....

Evolutionism
<view this essay>.... no God. The theory was sort of a dream or manifestation without any original
grounds for belief. Over time more and more people looked into and they
developed possibilities of how it occurred. Many theories were developed, but someone always
disproved them. Recently with the discovery of genetic mutation and a new understanding of
genes and DNA, the evidence supporting evolution has greatly increased.
Charles Darwin was one scientist who helped to increase the evidence supporting
evolution. Darwin developed the idea of “natural selection” where living things that reproduced
in large numbers and survived became dominant and other living things ada .....

Albert Einstein 2

Einstein did not act any different or better than anyone either. He did not dress any better, which was proved when Hoffman first met Einstein, he went into his office, and Einstein was sitting there in "ill-fitting cloths," and his hair "characteristic-ally awry". He did not speak or write better or more elegantly than anyone else either. He did not even have any special learning powers either. This was proved when Hoffman was writing equations on a blackboard when he was asked to sl .....

Awakenings And Tourette
<view this essay>.... normal and seemingly healthy ten year old boy who is afflicted with the "sleeping sickness" disease that reached epidemic proportions during that specific era. Like many others who contracted this illness, Leonard and those like him were often misdiagnosed and eventually placed in mental hospital facilities because of their apparent vegetative state. Doctors who worked on the earlier cases believed the patients mental faculties to have been destroyed by the illness.
Dr. Sayer (Dr. Oliver Sacks in real life) discovers that certain vegetative patients reacted to outside stimuli, such as a pattern on a floor, a tossed ball, or a television with a maladjusted vert .....
