Humanity's Fall In The Garden Of Eden In Paradise Lost
<view this essay>.... evil in a more coercive manner than good.
Satan and his followers in Paradise Lost are presented as being more
evil than God and his disciples are good. God addresses the Son to be in the
likeness of himself in Book three by saying, "The radiant image of his glory sat,
his only Son."(Bk. 3, 63-64). Although this implies that the Son is a model of
perfection as is God, it does not clarify it by stating it outright. Milton
definitely portrays Satan's evil in Book four by asserting that Satan is hell
and that evil is his good because good has been lost to him. (Bk. 4, lines 75,
108-110). Satan's moral state further decays in Book nine as detaile .....

The Book Of Exodus

In the Exodus there were many examples where Moses showed his great wisdom.
He also possessed somewhat magical power given to him by God. He also had
a divine purpose in life. Moses was on a “mission from god” so to speak to
deliver his people from bondage. His mission was similar to those of other
typical epics. It was of course a very dangerous and exhausting journey
that lasted a very long time. There were many obstacles to overcome as
well as internal affairs among .....

Analysis Of "13 Ways Of Looking At A Blackbird"
<view this essay>.... this blackbird, a connection has been made and he now knows the
blackbird has becomes a part of him.
In the first stanza, he focuses on the eye of the blackbird as an
outside observer. This symbolizes the thoughts and the consciousness of the
blackbird. It is also a transition from the observer's perception to the
blackbird's perception. In the second stanza, Stevens goes on to say that
he was of “three minds, Like a tree, In which there are three blackbirds.”
This was the first time he makes the connection between seeing the
blackbird and him himself metaphorically being the blackbird. He makes this

Whitman's Democracy
<view this essay>.... the women as a
prostitute, but this also conveys Whitman's ideas of democracy. The notion
that all people should be covered under the cover of freedom. The sun is
used as a metaphor for democracy in this poem, as it should shine upon all
equally.
When Whitman discusses the "shunn'd persons" in "Native Moments" he
once again mimics the concepts of democracy with his words. He lets all
know that he embraces the people that others have rejected, as democracy
should embrace all. These people are part of America also, and should be
accepted as such. as democracy should embrace all.
Whitman commends the many people of America in "I Hear America
Singing." .....

Marlowe’s “The Passionate Shepherd To His Love”
<view this essay>.... and the simple life as a retreat from the complications of society.
Pastoral poetry was created in Greece because of a place of peace located there called Arcadia. It was home to shepherds, philosophers, and poets. Unlike many Greek poems and paintings, pastoral poetry strayed from heroic tales and focused more on simpler subject matter. Description of the countryside filled the pages of a pastoral poem. The serenity and quiet experienced by the shepherds in the hills of Arcadia, was put into words. The present state of humanity was seen as an Iron Age in which humans have become degenerate.
There are three main kinds of pastoral that can be identified in .....
