.... brilliant writers have given two magnificent poems. Pope exhibits many characteristics of a narcissistic human being. His independence in life shows through his writings in fiction. Which inevitably portray his deeper feelings of life. Popes' efforts here are of outstanding quality. However, his poem did fail to convince Arabella to résumé her engagement to Lord Petre. Most of Pope's efforts here were written with time. Now, Keats has romantically serenaded his reader with descriptive lust and desire, which can be compared with popes' efforts by the difference in eighteenth century literature and romantic poems, their descriptive natures and ideas .....

"The thousand injuries of Fortunato I had borne as I best could, but when he ventured upon insult I vowed revenge" (149). This line reflects Poe's despise of his estranging stepfather John Allan. This estrangement forced Poe to make decisions about his life that he would not have had to consider at such and early age. Fortunato was a wealthy man who was admired in his community. The princess is directly contrasted by the characters of the maid and the knight. Where the princess follows her code of noble action and is punished, the knight and maid undertake unchivalrous actions and are rewarded. A closer inspection of the passage reveals quite a visual oil-soaked picture. This is created in large part by the oily sounds themselves. When spoken out-loud the diphthong [oi] in oil creates a diffusion of sound around the mouth that physically spreads the oil sound around the passage. An interesting seepage can also be clearly seen when looking specifically at the words "oil-soaked", "oil-permeated" and "grease- impregnated". These words connect the [oi] in oily with the word following it and heighten the spreading o .....

.... churchgoing you will find that church is defined as a public place to worship. And going is a departure. By definition the title literally mean leaving the church. Or, the way I see it, it can mean the act of going to church. The meaning of church has left. The young people are there only because their parents taught them that this was the right thing to do. And, the older people are there out of a sense of duty. Belief is not a factor or consideration. The title is trying to portray going to church as a perfunctory task programmed into the train of thought. To the people in this poem going to church is like grocery shopping. .... in couplets show Bradstreets ability to make everything flow with simplicity and meaning. She starts the poem out with a sad depressing tone and at her volta, “And did thy wealth on earth abide”(ln 38) switches to a tone full of hope and faith. In Bradstreet’s first stanza she speaks of how she went to bed and regrets of not looking more clearly before “rest she took”(ln 1). She is awaken by shrieks of fire that is not aroused by any man. As she sees the light of the fire at the beginning of stanza two, she comes to a sharp realization about what is happening and says a quick prayer to God to save her comfort, and what, at the time, she considers her “life .....
