Personal Writing: The Evaluation Of My Coaches
<view this essay>.... it came to practice. There was the drill sergeant type, which had the team
line up in the same place every day to do our calisthenics before each practice.
The team captain stood facing the rest of the team and lead us in various
stretches and other warm-ups. The coach was very strict. No horse play or
unnecessary talking or anything else we knew would make the coach mad. Coach
would have us do drills having to do with the plays we ran during the game. If
we made a mistake coach would stop us and make an example of whoever messed up.
He would say, "Did everyone see what Bryan just did? That is what you should
not do." He would then gripe a li .....

The Three Part Assertion Method
<view this essay>.... in no certain order. It's a classic scenario.
Over and over in my mind I envision myself going down there, screaming
at him, telling him my mind, and slamming his door. That would feel great. I
haven't done this yet, and probably won't. While reading the Bolton chapter,
this scenario replayed itself over and over in my mind. Here is my revised
strategy, which might just be used if the guy bothers me again. "When you leave
your door open, I can hear your music in my room which makes if difficult for me
to get school work done. I love music too, and certainly don't want you to not
enjoy it, but please don't force others to 'enjoy' it with you. I n .....

Pen Pals: Based On X-Files Characters

story in a future episode. This story is also available over the Internet on my
home page so others can view it at their leisure.
The idea for this story has been in the back of my mind before I was assigned
this project. I have always loved the X-Files since it premiered and within the
past year, I have submitted my stories, ideas, and suggestions to the writers of
the X-Files. Unfortunately, none of my ideas have been selected. Lots of
activity regarding the X-Files goes on over the Internet, and through
discussions are where I get a lot of my ideas for the stories that I write.

The Year 2050
<view this essay>.... The biggest problem in the States is pollution. Air pollution is at an
all time high due to our stupidity. We could have stopped the production of
cars and switched to HydroShoes, which run only off of water, like France
and Germany did, but politicians felt it would be too drastic a change.
Furthermore, President Bill Clinton decided to send all of our garbage into
space in 1996 instead of recycling when he introduced Project No-Garbage.
At first this was a good idea, but slowly, we noticed our atmosphere was
full of milk cartons and banana peels! To clean up this mess, the public
elected President Mick Jagger to deal with the environmental issues. .....

Personal Writing: An-Yang
<view this essay>.... with us, while she lives in a separate apartment by herself in
Glendale. My family and I used to eat lunch at her house every week. I
remember trudging up the dank, squeaky stairs with my siblings, yelling "An-
yang!!"(grandmother) all the way. She would yell in a similar fashion "Ah!
Shua- nging!" (ah, children!) Smells of old-fashioned Shanghainese cooking
would assail my senses, as my mouth watered in anticipation of the savories to
come.
One particular afternoon, after we had finished eating, we draped ourselves
around her living room. I was sitting on a dilapidated couch, whose colors were
made indiscernible by time, and was looking around her ro .....

My Job At E-Dak
<view this essay>.... model in defiance of Moore's Law. At the time the term
'information superhighway' hadn't been coined yet, but it would soon become our
driving focus, as data traffic over long-haul networks skyrocketed and the
world's telecommunications providers increased their investment in high-capacity
fiber-optics. With an innovative product line that provides pavement for the
information highway, E-Dak quenches an unending and growing thirst for bandwidth.
For me E-Dak has meant working at the fourth fastest growing company in Silicon
Valley, with $500 thousand of revenue exploding to over $60 million in four
short years. It has also meant playing a role in the i .....

Personal Writing: The Relay Race
<view this essay>.... trembled and broke into a cold sweat. I heaved a sigh deeply to release
bit of tension on my body.
Wind was blowing with my hair flying behind me and it dried the cold sweat.
I felt that all the eyes, in the on-lookers seat, focused their attention
on me. I realised the second runner was close to me.
I felt tension not only on my body but also mentally. I looked back. The
second runner was running at full speed to me. I saw the baton. It looked
like a monster. My mind shouted at me.
'Drop and Die.'
I looked forward again. I could see my way clearly.
It was short distance to go, but it seemed the finishing line was miles
away from me. I opened my eyes .....
