The "Around The World" Party At College
<view this essay>.... one could
tell. The only thing we all had in common was our goal to consume alcohol.
As soon as I walked in the room I immediately could see and smell
the smoke that was lingering in the air around the house. I was handed a
cup by a friend. Looking into it to see if it had been used, we both
shrugged and turned towards the basement. As I pushed my way through the
crowd to look for the keg I immediately knew it was in the corner because
of the crowd surrounding it. Once I reached the keg, I found myself
waiting once again for my beer. The person who was filling up the cups was
not filling them first come first serve. He would fill the cups of his
friend .....

Creative Writing: The Chase
<view this essay>.... the horn a number of times, Alan came running out the front door and jumped into Dan's small blue Honda. The car was born in the eighties and made a number of noises as it backed out of Alan's driveway. Dan flew off on the wet pavement, as usual driving faster than necessary despite how dark it was outside. The two had no plans for the evening. They drove back and forth, each suggesting who might be having a party tonight or what girls might be home. They were hardly lucky enough to find a girl from school home on a Saturday night. They were even less lucky when it came to the matter of getting a girl to ride with them. Mostly because when she would ask: what .....

Personal Writing: The Holiday Trip
<view this essay>.... for an international
holiday together for years. Finally we have a nice sum of money in the bank
and our trip looks like it is actually going to happen, So far we have both
agreed on visiting the USA. Me and Sofie have been penfriends for years and
years and openly write to each other on a regular basis, Sofie is 17 years
old. It is the first week of the school holidays and being rather bored at
home I decide to go to a friends house.
Arriving home 6.30, Mum was still yelling about the phone bill,
wearily entering the door waiting for the impact. "$170 dollars worth of
international calls" Mum bellowed at me. I will pay for them out of my trip
money .....

Creaitve Story: Desert Island
<view this essay>.... the I blacked out. The blast must have burned my clothes clean
off, and threw me on to this desert island. How odd that my clothes were
burned off, and I was left without a scratch. Shrugging off the many questions
that my mind bombarded me with, I decided to take a tour of the island, and
search for a possible means of escape. "OH SHI-!" I stopped myself short of a
curse, and looked down at my aching toe. I painfully leaned over and examined
the ground around my feet, discovering a 1922 Sears catalogue. Exhausted and
hungry, I reached for a coconut from the only tree. I leaned against the palm
tree eating the coconut and leafing through the ancient .....

The Rule
<view this essay>.... the individual or
people around them. By keeping the noise down we are only being considerate to
other people.
The rule that I feel is ridiculous is the visitation rule. Why can a
guy be in a girls room all day, or a girl be in a guys room all day, but must
leave at night? Their is no harm being done if he or she stays. If your
roommate doesn't mind then their shouldn't be a problem. If we are told that we
are responsible enough to go and live away from home, then why does it matter
who we live with? Why aren't we trusted when it comes to that issue? I feel
that one should be trusted until one proves otherwise.
The rule may forbid boyfriends, girlfrien .....

Creative Writing: The Fossilized Story Of Mr. Allosaurus
<view this essay>.... heart, and I die. I feel dazed and confused. I
always thought I would die of starvation, not from actually trying to catch my
prey.
For thousands of years I have lived underground. I have become a
petrified fossil. All the flesh and skin has either rotted away, or was eaten
by bugs and other things underground. All that remains of me are my bones. I
became petrified, because when I was burried under the ground all those years
the groundwater dissolved all my bones. They were then replaced, a molecule at
a time, by the minerals in the water. This long process involved all these
tingly sensations. I felt odd for the longest time, but now I'm a new me! .....

I Declare My Independence From Homework
<view this essay>.... causes undue stress at an early age, leading to
premature death of many students. It has limited the time that students
have to work, participate in extra-curricular activities, and furthermore
it creates a less friendly student-teacher relationship, thus causing
inter-personal stress. Homework causes overall dislike of the school system
by students. Uncompleted homework forces many students to miss undue
amounts of school in order to finish impossible work-loads assigned by
teachers. It forces students to do repetitive work, even if they already
understand the subject matter. The concept of homework is so ingrained
into the minds of teachers that they .....

My Stock Track Portfolio
<view this essay>.... the company. Inter-Tel was next. I thought I was buying Intel, but after I realized that I hadn't I kept it to see how it did. Then I bought the real Intel. I didn't actually know anything about the company, but people in class were talking about it so I figured I would give it a shot. All the kids in class were buying stock in computer software and upcoming telecommunications companies. I really didn't know anything about them so I bought a stock called Nextlink communications. I have no idea what the company is about, but it did pretty well so I was happy. Then I bought NPC International Inc., just because I wanted more stocks and it sounded good .....
