Prescribed Burning
<view this essay>.... They were matter-of-factly tending flank and back lines (see illustration, page 16) on a low-intensity ground fire they'd set earlier. It gradually burned through bitterbrush and light woody debris, mimicking the natural understory fires of old and thus protecting a stand of mature ponderosas. The fire was moving ionals throughout the U.S. In other words, the present emerging technology is a lot more parochial (meaning practical) than political - a refreshing thought.
"Honey, your fire has escaped.!"
"There's no guarantee you'll not get a big rip," (see terminology sidebar, page 57) says a Forest Service fire officer on the eastern seaboard.

The Ocean
<view this essay>.... ebb tide, you can find the seaweed
between rocks. For the marine animals we have fish and shrimp. The fish and
shrimp are always moving around the ocean and follow the ocean currents.
What is ocean current? It is a movement of ocean thatcan buring the fish to
other places. There are two kinds of circulation create the currents in the
ocean. They are (1) wind-driven circulation and (2) Thermohaline circulation.
Wind-driven circulation result from the wind sets the surface waters into motion
as currents. The currents generally flow horizontally-that is parallel to the
earth¡¦s surface. The wind mainly affects only the upper 100 to 200 meters of

gas can flow through the burner. Then take a lighted match over the side to
light it. Don’t allow any air when you are lighting the burner. When it is lit
you will see a yellow flame. Then you would take the evaporating dish and put
it in the flame for a few minutes. To see what would be collected on the dish.
after you do that. Then you turn the barrel until you can’t see the yellow flame

The Dust-Cloud Hypothesis
<view this essay>.... or eddies, which condensed separately to
make the planets.
The forming sun and planets were made up mostly of gas. They contained
much more gas than dust. The earth was far bigger than it is now and
probably weighed 500 times as much.
The large body of dust and gas forming the sun collapsed rapidly to a much
smaller size. The pressure that resulted from the collapse caused the sun
to become very hot and to glow brightly.
The newly born sun began to heat up the swirling eddy of gas and dust that
was to become the earth. The gas expanded, and some of it flowed away into
space. The dust that remained behind then collected together because of
gravity. .....

An Argument For Animal Research
<view this essay>.... not rendered, but it is absolutely different to argue that animals have
rights which supersede human subsistence. "For most of the past decade, the
animal-rights movement hasn't merely opposed animal research; it has
tried to destroy it." ( ¯The Wall Street Journal®, "Animals and Sickness", Page
378.) Animal rights advocates and activists generally have ethical objections
regarding treatment of animals during experimentation, but the use of animals in
research for the benefit of all people is and always will be justifiable.
Over 99 percent of all animal experiments are on rats and mice developed
expressly for laboratory use. "Less than 1 percent .....

Cheetah 2
<view this essay>.... part was surprising to me in
that the cheetah is only 44-53 inches long. On the TV they always seem bigger somehow. And the tail is about 26-33 inches long! Their average weight is 86-143 pounds, surprisingly light for such a powerful animal.
It’s low weight, it seems, is what allows it have it’s high top speed of
sixty miles per hour. It is regarded as one the fastest hunters in the world
and of course, the fastest land animal in existence. I also found that it’s
habitat is in the grassy plains of Africa. This is definitely a great place for it to hide based on it’s coat color. It is because of this combination of tall grass and camouflage coat w .....

Hypnosis 2
<view this essay>.... Hypnosis is the term for a state of the body where the mind is subconsciously active but the conscious mind and the body are in a sleep like state (although many consider it sleep, it actually isn’t) (Hunter). The change in these states is from “Beta” into “Alpha”. Beta and Alpha are different terms used to describe the brain waves given off during these states. When the subconscious (subcon) or “Alpha” mind is responding, different commands, or suggestions, can be implemented into the mind. The subcon mind can then execute these imbedded commands without any intervening of the conscious mind and body (Hunter).
