Cells
<view this essay>.... maximum speed in which intercellular communications will take place while providing the ideal conditions for diffusion: Movement of molecules from a region of higher concentration to a region of lower concentration, a vital function in the life of a cell. Like wise, the surface area and volume of a cell are directly influential in the efficiency of the cell’s nutrient absorption and waste expulsion processes. Since the cell membrane of an eukaryotic cell is its only source of nutrition, its surface area must be large enough to allow the cell’s organelles to receive the material it needs or it will die. The eukaryotic cell does this by maximizing the surface .....

Does Life Exist On Mars
<view this essay>.... the idea that there were aliens
from other planets in the first place. Just the idea that they may exist shows
that somewhere along the years of Human existent somebody must have really came
in contact with an alien otherwise the terms 'Alien , UFOS and Flying Sources'
would have never existed.
I however don't believe that living cells of any kind have ever existed in this
solar system apart from on earth. I do see the possibility that maybe other
solar systems is our solar system in history which is an interesting thought.
Just because NASA has found a single cell living creature in a meteorite doesn't
prove anything in my mind. Especially because of the f .....

Feeding Yeast
<view this essay>.... And I expected the grape juice, which is high in natural sugar to be the food yeast doesn't like and make the least gas. The information that I discovered through this experiment I hope to use to increase my comprehension of baking techniques.
Experimentation
For the actual experiment, I used four (4) ICB root beer bottles, 4 balloons, yeast and the yeast foods- corn syrup, flour/water, gelatin, and grape juice. The yeast was a solution-6¾ teaspoons of yeast per cup of very warm (105° to 115°) water. Into all four bottles I put four tablespoons (tbsp.) of the yeast solution. Put ½ cup of corn syrup into bottle one, along with the yeast solution. Int .....

Quantum Theory?
<view this essay>.... by Michael Crighton, a group of scientists discover the idea of interuniversal travel and encounter several problems with the theory through situations they come to face (Crighton).
Quantum mechanics, by definition, is a general mathematical theory dealing with the interactions of matter and energy in terms of observable quantities of quanta, small bundles of energy. Quanta are the fundamental building blocks of everything according to the (The New Merriam-Webster Dictionary). The spaces between these quanta are called quantum foam; it is through these spaces that entities are destroyed and simultaneously reconstructed by teleportation, thus “moving” the .....

Abstract From: Cloning : Where Do We Draw The Line?
<view this essay>.... research, scientists learned that "in a
typical in-vitro procedure, doctors will insert three to five embryos in hopes
that, at most, one or two will implant" (Elmer-Dewitt 38). And that "a woman
with only one embryo has about a 10% to 20% chance of getting pregnant through
in-vitro fertilization. If that embryo could be cloned and turned into three or
four, thechances of a successful pregnancy would increase significantly"(Elmer-
Dewitt 38).
The experiment the scientists performed is the equivalent of a mother
producing twins. The process has been practiced and almost perfected in
livestock for the past ten years, and some scientists believe that it .....

The Downy Woodpecker
<view this essay>.... on a dry resonant
tree branch. This drumming is the downy's song, though they do make some vocal
noises. They have several single-syllable call notes which include tchick, an
aggressive social note; a tick and a tkhirrr, which are alarm notes. There is
also a location call, known as a "whinny", made up of a dozen or more tchicks
all strung together.
Scientific Names
The downy woodpecker's scientific name is Picoides pubescens. There
are also six particular downies with six particular scientific names all from
different regions of the United States and southern Canada which I have listed
below:

Stars
<view this essay>.... earlier, about 1000 BC. Polaris, the North Star, has a Greek name;
Betelgeuse, a bright red star, has an Arabic name. Modern astronomers
designate the bright stars according to the CONSTELLATIONS they are in.
Thus, the brightest star in the Big Dipper (part of the constellation Ursa
Major) is called alpha Ursa Majoris. Polaris, in the Little Dipper (Ursa
Minor), is gamma (designated by the Greek lower-case letter gamma) Ursa
Minoris, and Betelgeuse, in Orion, is gamma Orionis. VARIABLE STARS (those
which periodically change in brightness) have lettered names, such as RR
Lyrae in the constellation Lyra. Fainter stars are known by their numbers
in a catalog; HD 1 .....

Cloning
<view this essay>.... not God's original plan. He made man and woman and the offspring of these humans were to be produced through a wonderful and special moment between man and woman. Science has no part in producing a child and no one, no matter how intelligent, has any right to tamper with God's creations.
It has been almost a hundred years since the first clone was ever created. In the year 1902, a German embryologist by the name of Hans Spermann used a strand of hair as a noose to split apart cells of a two-celled salamander embryo, and obtained a normal salamander from each cell. Thirty-six years later, Spermann used nuclear transportation to create a clone. He took the nucl .....
