The Physics Of Scuba Diving: Swimming With The Fish
<view this essay>.... Sounds easy enough, right!, well WRONG!!. From
the moment I hit the water, my experience was much less than fun. I quickly
sank to the bottom into a new world, with unfamiliar dangers. I really wasn't
ready for this experience. I was disorientated, causing me to panic, which
shortened the length of my dive, not to mention my air supply. Let's just say I
would not do that again.
To start exploring the underwater world, one must first master a few
skills. Certification is the first step of learning to dive. From qualified
professionals one must learn how to use the equipment, safety precautions, and
the best places to dive. This paper is designed to h .....

Pollution In Eastern Europe
<view this essay>.... the situation in eastern Europe: first, what the real problems are and how and why they were caused. Second, the consequences of these environmental problems on the people and environment of the region. Third, the future prospects of the region: what has to be done and the chances of it happening, and what has been done up to this point to indicate what the future holds. Finally, it should be pointed out at this time that the pollution that is discussed here is only related to pollution that directly harms people and the environment they live in, not pollution like carbon dioxide or greenhouse gases or other factors concerned with the global warming issue.

Pulmonary Agents
<view this essay>.... usually after a symptom-free period that varies in duration with the amount inhaled. Chemically induced acute lung injury by these groups of agents involves a permeability defect in the blood-air-barrier (the alveolar-capillary membrane); however, the precise mechanisms of toxicity remain an enigma. The U.S. produces over a billion pounds of phosgene (CG) per year for industrial uses; however, we do not stockpile this agent for military use.
Perfluoroisobutylene (PFIB) is a toxic pyrolysis product of tetrafluoroethylene polymers encountered in military materiel (e.g., Teflon7, found in the interior of many military vehicles). The oxides of nitrogen (NOxs) are .....

Chicken Pox With Works Cited
<view this essay>.... and they were known as acute exanthems or a disease characterized by an eruption or rash, from the Latin and Greek word exanthema, meaning to break out, or, originally, to bloom. Many people were misdiagnosed due to the similarities between these diseases, and the fact that they can occur in milder or more sever forms leading to an overlap of the most obvious symptoms. (7)
Chickenpox mostly occurs in children classifying it as a childhood disease although it can occur in adults who are not yet immune to it. This could lead to the belief of chickenpox being one of the oldest diseases. Since the chickenpox infection has two phases, one most common du .....

Freezing Point Of Naphthalene
<view this essay>.... but not touching the sides or bottom of the test tube.
Use a clamp to hold the thermometer in place.
5. Ignite the Bunsen burner and using direct heat melt the
naphthalene powder until it completely turns to a liquid. When the temperature reaches
approximately 90o Celsius, stop heating.
6. Observe the change in temperature from 90o to 70o Celsius,
recording the temperature at regular intervals, preferably 15 seconds. This
data will be used to make a chart later.
7. Once the temperature has fallen to 70o, melt the naphthalene
which is now frozen to remove the thermometer. Properly dispose of
the naphthalene liquid as instructed by the teacher.

The Space Shuttle
<view this essay>.... on the shuttle, to the detriment of other,
unmanned vehicles and missions.
The first space shuttle mission, piloted by John W. Young and Robert Crippen
aboard the orbiter Columbia, was launched on April 12, 1981. It was a test
flight flown without payload in the orbiter's cargo bay. The fifth space shuttle
flight was the first operational mission; the astronauts in the Columbia
deployed two commercial communications satellites from November 11 to 16, 1982.
Later memorable flights included the seventh, whose crew included the first U.S.

Black Holes 2
<view this essay>.... happens they cannot keep from collapsing. After stars collapse, they start rotating and as they are spinning, their gravity becomes stronger causing them to shrink. As the object becomes smaller, it starts spinning faster and faster. Then the core compacts into a mathematical point with virtually zero volume, where it is said to have infinite density. This is referred to as a singularity. When this happens, escape would require a velocity greater than the speed of light. No object can reach the speed of light. The distance from the black hole at which the escape velocity is just equal to the speed of light is called the event horizon. Anything, including ligh .....
