reflected by Lady Macbeth who called him a coward. From then on, after the

Hamlet: Playing The Roles
<view this essay>.... related to his inability to form a solid opinion about role playing. This difficulty is not present, however, at the start of the play.
In the first act, Hamlet appears to be very straightforward in his actions and inner state. When questioned by Gertrude about his melancholy appearance, Hamlet says, "Seems, madam? Nay it is. I know not 'seems.'" (1.2.76). This is to say, "I am what I appear to be." Later in act I, Hamlet makes a clear statement about his state when he commits himself to revenge. In this statement the play makes an easy to follow shift. This shift consists of Hamlet giving up the role of a student and mourning son. Hamlet says, "I'l .....

The Symbol Of Black In "The Crucible"
<view this essay>.... him on lechery. Abby is a black and dark person, like an assistant of
the devil. If she wants something bad enough she will get it.
Although blue signifies sadness I believe that Elizabeth is feeling
black in this portion of the play. What I mean by black is that Elizabeth
probably felt like dying instead of going through all this. Since black
symbolizes death I figured that Elizabeth maybe felt black, like putting herself
out of the misery of all this charging rather than go along with it. She gets
blamed for many things that she did not do. For example she is accused of
poking Abby with a needle by a poppet.
Mary must also f .....

Oedipus Rex: Fate And Freewill
<view this essay>.... play a large role in the
rise and fall of the protagonist. The protagonist in a play has to either
cause the fault by his own freewill or by fate causing it. Without this
there would be no fall of the protagonist in a tragic play. Ignorance of a
protagonist can lead to a fall do to a mistake done by there own free will.
Fate can cause the fall of a protagonist without there consent or there
control. The fate of a protagonist leads to a much more horrible conclusion
then the mistake of a tragic protagonist do to there own freewill.
Oedipus was born with a horrible prophecy told to his parents which
led his parents to believe that Oedipus would kill his father .....

Movie: Othello
<view this essay>.... Then, under the guise of
friendship, Iago suggests that Cassio ask Desdemona for help in getting
reinstated. This is an ingenius move on as his part, as Cassio must pursue
Desdemona's help behind Othello's back. Roderigo is manipulated by Iago's
telling him to pursue Desdemona, even though Desdemona is already married.
Although this is a blatent lie on Iago's part, as the viewer sees not a single
hint that Desdemona even acknowledges Roderigo's existance, it is so cleverly
delivered to Roderigo that he takes as a fact, even when the facts show
otherwise. Iago controls Emilia through her love that she has for him. He uses
her love of him to get her to ste .....

The Deplorable Life Of Willy Loman

better than he did Happy. Biff was the all-star quarterback and everyone
in the city loved and admired him. Willy was no different, he always put
Biff before anyone else in his household, which is something that a father
should never do to his family. Willy's love for his sons was very apparent,
however he set in them very low moral values. For example, Willy told Biff
and Happy to run up the street and steal some sand to finish some steps,
which tells them that stealing is OK. This is a trait set in him by his
father, which proves to haunt him his entire life. Willy was also a cheat,
whether it was adultery .....

Julius Caesar: Motives In Actions
<view this essay>.... death of Caesar but he can not get the thought of cold-blooded murder out of his mind. One of the reasons Brutus would conspire against Caesar is that he loved the Roman people more than Caesar. Brutus was the head of the conspiracy because the Romans respected his judgement and loyalty to the Roman Empire. If he would have loved Caesar more than Rome’s people he never would have killed Caesar for the Roman people.
Cassius is the most significant character for his ability to perceive the true motives of the characters. Cassius thinks the nobility of Rome is responsible for the government of Rome. Cassius strongly dislikes Caesar personally. He sees Bru .....
