Macbeth: Contrast Of Lady Macbeth And Macbeth
<view this essay>.... of herself and Macbeth, which shows a side of her evilness.
She has planned for Macbeth, the “King that shalt be,” to assassinate
Duncan and take the throne. Her wickedness is shown several times when her
speeches resemble that of the witches and her repetition of phrases three
times, like the witches. She wishes to be filled with the “direst [of]
cruelty” and “unsex[ed],” for her womanly “moral thoughts” will do her no
good. Her eagerness to succeed in being the queen of Scotland pushes her
beyond her own moral boundaries.
Macbeth, on the other hand, agrees that Duncan must be slain in
order to attain the crown but unlike Lady Macbeth, he is weary. He is .....

Is It An Open Road?
<view this essay>.... starts. The first thing I notice is the music. I automatically close my eyes and feel my body slightly urging me to move with the fast techno beats. I don’t know what the ad is for yet, but I’m already hooked. Curiosity forces me to open my eyes when a low, soothing male voice speaks. He tells of a warm June day driving in luxury with plenty of room “to hold lots of stuff (like my friends)”. The setting is in a peaceful countryside next to a lake with tall majestic trees including a brightly colored vehicle consuming the pavement. All I’ve caught is a glimpse of this wonderful machine that has an “engine technology that will carry me over the race .....

<view this essay>.... the inception of 60 Minutes. All of the
tabloid television programs being shown today are also a result of 60 Minutes
and its bold, gutsy, "gotcha" style of television journalism. 60 Minutes
changed the way that the American public receives its television news, stemming
forth a whole new format of television broadcast journalism.
60 Minutes has a vast history of stories covered, yet the format has
remained unchanged. Don Hewett, creator and producer of 60 Minutes, has been
the subject of much criticism for his stubbornness. Since its origin, 60
Minutes has continued to adhere to the same formula that made it such a success.
The hidden-camera int .....

The Apostle
<view this essay>.... an act of God, suddenly comes to the aid of Jesus. He acknowledges Jesus' innocence and even praises him for accepting punishment with him and the other guilty party. This seems to be a perfect example of a conversion by the grace of God. It is sudden, unexpected, and comes from someone who is not necessarily a model citizen.
The central figure of the film is a southern evangelical preacher, the self proclaimed "Apostle". In the beginning, this man is the picture of a stereotypical "Bible-belt" minister. He is loud, flamboyant, hypocritical, and uses his influence to become a pillar of the community. However, slowly loses everything he holds dear. He loses .....

"Casablanca:" A New Perspective
<view this essay>.... an American cinema classic.
The first camera technique Curtiz uses to help narrate the film is the
close-up shot. The close-up can effectively convey the story to the viewer
without the use of excessive dialogue. In this instance, the viewer is
introduced to the main character, Rick, through the use of the close-up. The
first scene in "Rick's Cafe," shows people gambling and making illegal deals to
leave Casablanca. An employee of the cafe bring a check to a man seated at a
chess table to sign. The signature reads, "OK. Rick." By using this shot, the
director makes clear to the reader, without any dialogue, that the man signing
the check is Rick. This te .....
