Acquired Immune Difficiency Syndrome
<view this essay>.... this hideously lethal disease. In this
essay I hope to present this information. History and Overview
AIDS stands for Acquired Immune Defficiency Disease. It is caused by a
virus. The disease originated somewhere in Africa about 20 years ago. There
it first appeared as a mysterious ailment afflicting primarily heterosexuals
of both sexes. It probably was spread especially fast by primarily female
prostitutes there. AIDS has already become a crisis of STAGGERING proportions
in parts of Africa. In Zaire, it is estimated that over twenty percent of
the adults currently carry the virus. That figure is increasing. And what
occurred the .....

Abortion Life Or Death: Who Chooses?
<view this essay>.... met in Oslo in 1970. Should we go backwards in our concern for the life of an individual human being? The unborn human is still a human life and not all the wishful thinking of those advocating repeal of abortion laws, can alter this. Those of us who would seek to protect the human who is still to small to cry aloud for it's own protection, have been accused of having a 19th Century approach to life in the last third of the 20th Century.
But who in reality is using arguments of a bygone Century? It is an incontrovertible fact of biological science - Make no Mistake - that from the moment of conception, a new human life has been created. Only those who all .....

AIDS: Myths And Facts
<view this essay>.... that AID victims can go for
help.
First, I will try to present some of the myths and some of the actual
facts surrounding AIDS. Some tend to believe that it is spread by kissing,
touching toilet seats, and even that it is spread by mosquitoes. AIDS has also
been labeled the disease of homosexual men. These are all false beliefs, proven
through many scientific studies. Hemophiliacs have contracted AIDS, after
having been giving transfusions of blood which was contaminated with the HIV
virus. Drug addicts have been infected through the intravenous injection of
drugs with “second hand” or dirty needles used by someone who carried the HIV
virus. Prostitu .....

Alzheimer's Disease
<view this essay>.... were present when comparing the
normal brain to the Alzheimer's brain. There was a loss of nerve cells from
the Cerebral Cortex in the Alzheimer's victim. Approxiately ten percent of
the neurons in this region were lost. But a ten percent loss is relatively
minor, and cannot account for the severe impairment suffered by Alzheimer's
victims.
Neurofibrillary Tangles are also found in the brains of Alzheimer's
victims. They are found within the cell bodies of nerve cells in the
cerebral cortex, and take on the structure of a paired helix. Other
diseases that have "paired helixes" include Parkinson's disease, Down's
Syndrome, and Dementia Pugilistica. S .....

Suicide
<view this essay>.... in museums that are
selling for a thousand dollars. This girl is only 17. The one thing that
seemed to be the slightest bit disturbing about her life was that her
parents had a divorce when she was about seven, but other then that she
seemed to have the perfect life. She had been giving this serious thought
for about a year, and then one day she actually attempted to kill herself.
I thought if someone wanted to kill themselves it would be hard to fail.
That's when I figured she didn't really want to die. It was a cry for help,
and she didn't know of any other way to ask for it. I stayed a week with
her through this trying period in her life, and found o .....

Abortion
<view this essay>.... Bible does not say anything about directly because it was unthinkable back then to a woman. Children were viewed as a gift from the Lord, not just a lifeless object. Yet, there are some verses to understand the biblical views of human life. One of them is Psalm 139. This psalm is the record of David's praise for God's control in his life.
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes s .....
