There was an influence on who and what the characters were in the story, and how they lived and did things. The Morlocks are very similar to the miners of the Victorian times. The Morlocks lived underground and in the dark. The miners didn’t live underground, but they did spend most of their time working there. Personal Response To Orwell's "Shooting An Elephant"
<view this essay>.... of high school I had a most interesting and
distasteful incident relating to Orwell's "Shooting an Elephant," which

speculation for fellow students. My friends might do anything from
standing on top of the table and striping their clothes off to jumping in a
near-by garbage can. None-the-less I .....

Also, they taught me gender roles, the behavioral expectations associated with gender. Th .....

Johannesburg. While reading the pages, begin to envision Johannesburg
being a polluted, very unkind, and rushed city. The setting is more of
a emotional setting than a physical setting. As I stated it takes

discrimination is at an all time high. The black community of this
land is trying to break free from the white people, but having little
success. It is this so called racism that is esse .....
