Juvenile Delinquency
<view this essay>.... usually are sent to juvenile courts,
where the main aim is to rehabilitate offenders, rather than to punish them.
But the term juvenile delinquency itself has come to imply disgrace in today's
society. A youngster can be labeled a delinquent for breaking any one of a
number of laws, ranging from robbery to running away from home. But an action
for which a youth may be declared a delinquent in one community may not be
against the law in another community. In some communities, the police ignore
many children who are accused of minor delinquencies or refer them directly to
their parents. But in other communities, the police may refer such children to

Violence And Pornography
<view this essay>.... from the
man himself, ˙as a teenager, my buddies and I would all sneak around and watch
porn. As I grew older, I became more and more interested and involved in it,
[pornography] became an obsession. I got so involved in it, I wanted to
incorporate [porn] into my life, but I couldn˙t behave like that and maintain
the success I had worked so hard for. I generated an alter-ego to fulfill my
fantasies under-cover. Pornography was a means of unlocking the evil I had
burried inside myself˙ (Leidholdt 47). Is it possible that pornography is
acting as the key to unlocking the evil in more unstable minds?
According to Edward Donnerstein, a leading researcher in t .....

What happened to Bakke is known as reverse discrimination. Bakke

Privacy Is The Best Policy
<view this essay>.... path. Parents should not look through their children's rooms
without consent, at any consequences.
The saying, “Like father like son,” tells people in four words, how
children follow their parents habits, regardless if they are bad or good.
When parents search through their children's rooms, like search dogs in a
drug house, they don't realize what message they send to their children.
Children would learn from their parents that looking through other people's
property is permitted. If parents don't look through their children's room,
then the child can be having problems that parents don't know about. This
could not realistically occur though. Parents .....

Another group that is a target of hatred are the blacks. The Ku Klux Klan,

These so called Skinheads abominate most races other than their own. White
hooded silhouettes, German Soldiers echoing “Hail Hitler!”, and the infamous
Skinheads are harsh reminders of hatred which .....

Virtues That Change Society In The Future
<view this essay>.... were taught to the new generation of kids, I feel that in the future, society would be filled with better and also more efficient intellectuals. As a result the society as a whole would greatly benefit.
How can a list of thirteen virtues change society in the future? After a brief overview of the list I was not impressed. Maybe these would apply to Franklin's day but not to the twentieth century. With a few subtractions and additions the list of virtues may be a helpful tool in any persons life.
Temperance is first on the list and is the most important of the virtues. As Franklin states, some associate temperance with eating and drinking, but this was not Fra .....

On the surface, are caused by peer pressure and greed. Many teens in will pressure peers into becoming part of a gang by making it all sound glamorous. Money is also an crucial factor. A kid (a 6-10 year old, who is not yet a member) is shown that s/he could make $200 to $400 for small part time gang jobs. Although these are important factors they are not strong enough to make kids do things that are strongly against their morals.

Hooked On The Internet
<view this essay>.... think Internet Addiction is a joke, for the growing numbers of people it is no laughing matter.
