Time For Americans To Be A Family
<view this essay>.... still. All this because I grew up in a middle class family in Toledo,
Ohio? I've never considered myself to be anything special, certainly never
superior to anyone or anything by virtue of my ancestry, just your basic, run-
of-the-mill guy who wants to do the right thing.
From the time I was little boy, I have seen one particular group called colored,
Negro, black, and now, African-American. I can't seem to find a consensus out
there in any media, one moment the reference is to blacks, and the next to
African-Americans, when they are referring to the same group of people.
I'm not knocking what people want to call themselves, it's the mixed messages
I'm get .....

Why Everyone Should Have Different Rights
<view this essay>.... They
were born into this world and at least have their natural rights.
The criminals already have different rights. But they should have less
than they have now. The felons should not be able to walk the streets in plain
clothes. They should have to wear a bright red or orange. Most of the felons
when released go back to what they do best. The felons are not supposed to have
a firearm in their possession some abide by this rule and some do not. There
possession should be searched through on a regular basis.
Illegal Aliens are a big problem in the United States at the time being.
If they do stay they should pay taxes like the average citizen. .....

Parental Pressure Within High School Students
<view this essay>.... the pressure getting higher and higher. I did not only
notice this with me, but I noticed this with many of my friends. I heard
phrases like “My parents are going to kill me” and “I'm going to be grounded for
10 years” many times so when the opportunity to do research on this came up, I
chose this as my subject.
II. How does parental pressure influence students in high school? If there
is an influence, is it positive or negative? I would like to do research on
this because it raised my curiosity. For me personally, I do better in school
if I am calm and have little pressure, but there might be students out there at
Ramapo High School that think differ .....

Moral Force Protesting
<view this essay>.... convincing speeches which are fighting
for a cause within the boundaries of law. It's possible to legally get enough
support for a cause and eventually win by never once using any sort of violence.
In some cases, hunger strikes by the ‘victims' are also done. Aside from well
constructed speeches and hunger strikes, the refusal to obey certain laws and
the passive resistance, that is, resisting to incoming violence usually from the
government, are other ways to morally protest without any physical violence.
Sometimes due to the refusal to abide to certain laws the supporters may find
abusive, the moral force protest supporters might find themselves confro .....

Censorship Of Music In The Media
<view this essay>.... national commitment to uninhibited, robust and wide-open discussion that may well include vehement, casuistic, and sometimes unpleasantly sharp speech. In the case of Cohen v California, 403 U.S. 15(1971) is dis positive. In this case, a man was arrested for wearing a jacket emblazoned with an expletive, reflecting his opinion of the military draft. The Supreme Court threw out this conviction as a violation of the First Amendment. Surely the State has no right to cleanse public debate to the point where it is grammatically palatable to the most sensitive among us. Thus, the general rule remains that so long as the means are peaceful, the communication n .....

The Nature And Scope Of School Violence State And Local Perspective
<view this essay>.... weapon carrying) and incident data (such as violations of school policies).
Data on Student Risk Behaviors
Many children and adolescents behave in ways that put them at risk for intentional injury. Reducing these risk behaviors is a critical step in preventing injury and promoting school safety. To monitor student risk behaviors, many States, territories, and cities conduct the Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS), developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The YRBS, which includes questions about weapon carrying, physical fighting, and victimization on school property, is administered to students in grades 9-12. States that conduc .....

The Meaning Of Society
<view this essay>.... with the history of class struggle. He felt that the history of society was a history itself of the struggles that existed between the ruling and the oppressed social classes. In Marx’s time, slaves were considered the “have not’s” and were the ones doing all the work while the “have’s” were taking advantage of their effort.
According to Marx, the economy was organized around industrial production and commercial exchange, which explains why he classified the bourgeois society into two main classes. These classes were; the capitalist who owned the factories, banks and the goods to trade and the proletarians who owned nothing but their own labor power. Marx f .....

You Must Have Rules To Be Free
<view this essay>.... and wait in turn. If you thought getting to school in
the morning was tough, try it with no traffic signs or lights.
Now here is another crazy example, imagine if students didn't have
to go to school. Well, remember the kid in 8th grade always saying "I hate
school", well I guess you'd never see him there. You're probably thinking
that not all kids would stay home, and I agree but the majority of kids
would stay home a lot because they didn't feel like going, probably causing
them to miss a lot of important information. Causing them to fail.
Finally, Think about a sporting event you compete in or participate.
What would it be without rules? It wouldn't .....
