Antibiotic Resistance In Bacteria
<view this essay>.... the answer. The more times you use a drug, the more it will decrease the effect it has on you. That is because the bacteria has found a way to avoid the effects of that antibiotic. Another cause of resistance is the improper use of drugs. When patients feel that the symptoms of their disease have improved, they often stop taking the drug. Just because the symptoms have disappeared it does not mean the disease has gone away. Prescribed drugs should be taken until all the medicine is gone so the disease is completely finished. If it is not, then this will just give the bacteria some time to find a way to avoid the effects of the drug.
One antibiotic th .....

Mars
<view this essay>.... everything about the planet. As time goes on, our knowledge of this mysterious planet will expand.
The atmosphere of is quite different from that of Earth. It is composed primarily of carbon dioxide with small amounts of other gases. The six most common components of the atmosphere are Carbon Dioxide at 95.32%; Nitrogen at 2.7%; Argon at 1.6%; Oxygen at 0.13%; Water at 0.03%; and Neon at 0.00025 %. Martian air contains only about 1/1,000 as much water as our air, but even this small amount can condense out, forming clouds that rise high in the atmosphere or swirl around the slopes of towering volcanoes. Local patches of early morning fog can form in valleys. .....

Creation Versus Evolution
<view this essay>.... our species? Currently, the debate is going on right here in Arizona whether or not some class time should be dedicated to the presentation of theories that dispute those of Darwin (Nowicki). The scientific society, a neutral party, and the Christian community all have their opinions and insight regarding this matter.
Evolutionists feel strongly about their stance on the issue of presenting creationism to America's classroom. They feel that by bringing this medium into schools, the Christians will be able to "further advance their various agendas" (Flank) by forcing their religious beliefs on students who do not believe in God, or in the same god. This is w .....

UFO Sightings
<view this essay>.... locales, aberrations
in the workings of automobiles, and radiation and other damage found in
vegetation.
The 50-page review, being released today, asserts that the scientific
community might learn something worthwhile if it can overcome the fear of
ridicule associated with the topic and get some funding for targeted
research to try to explain these occurrences.
"It may be valuable to carefully evaluate UFO reports to extract
information about unusual phenomena currently unknown to science," the
report stated, adding that such research could also improve understanding
of, and in some cases debunk, supposed UFO events.
For example, Earth science researchers ha .....

Hydrogen 2
<view this essay>.... once called "inflammable air" by a British scientist names Joseph Priestly . French chemist Antoine Laurent Lavoisier then renamed it to today's name, hydrogen.
Hydrogen can be produced in many ways. Electrolysis is a common way hydrogen is produced. Electric current is passed through water which releases the lements it is made of. These elements are hydrogen and oxygen. Today's efficiency of this method is about 65 percent, however 80-85 percent are possible with more research. Another method of producing hydrogen is through chemical means. It is a scientific fact that every metal that is less noble than hydrogen will isplace hydrogen from water . Common .....

Crash Course In Density
<view this essay>.... out of fuel. Quickly, the pilots decided that getting to
Edmonton was out of the question. The nearest large airport was at Winnipeg, so
they radioed ahead and changed their course. In a few minutes, all four of the
fuel pumps had failed. The worst possible news, they were out of fuel. In a
few more minutes the engines stopped running, and all of the high tech
instruments became useless.
They realized that they could not even make it to Winnipeg. Their only
chance was an abandoned to a abandoned Air Force airstrip. Unfortunately, the
airstrip had been converted to a race track, complete with race cars, fences,
and spectators. The 767 crash landed, an .....

Nuclear Energy
<view this essay>.... plants?
You bet.
They provide an alternative to burning vast amounts of fossil fuels—making electricity production much easier on the environment.
They produce much of the electricity that fuels our economic growth. They power new industrial technologies that keep our economy growing and improve our global competitiveness.
They cut America's demand for imported oil by nearly 100 million barrels a year—reducing our dependence on foreign oil suppliers and cutting our trade deficit.
The future looks even better. Advanced-design nuclear power plants are now being developed—quicker and less costly to build, better performing, a .....

Ozone
<view this essay>.... warming. It is found in varying
proportions on Earth, but it is about 0.05 ppm at sea level.
Ozone absorbs harmful ultraviolet radiation in the upper atmosphere, and
protects humans from skin cancer. But ozone is also the main ingredient of smog,
and causes serious health effects and forest and crop damage in the lower
atmosphere. Ozone is formed through the chemical reaction of volatile organic
compounds and nitrogen dioxide, in the atmosphere, in the presence of sunlight.
This reaction is called a photochemical reaction, because sunlight is required.
The product is known as smog. The notorious brownish color of smog is due to
nitrogen dioxide of the mi .....
