"Pope And Adult Web Sites Don't Mix."
<view this essay>.... the other patriarchs. This bishop became known as the pope, and soon was regarded as the head of all churches. The pope made many decisions that have affected history (i.e. Crusades, King Henry, etc.). Many of the lower-ranking bishops strove to become the pope, yet they took part in adultery, murder, and the like. They also persecuted anyone of another religion, and tortured him or her until confession. These examples do not speak highly of the man and religion that now do not want their good name smeared.
Yet, times change. In modern times the Catholic Church has changed dramatically, and the view on religions has as well. Hopefully, there is no more .....

that Jackie was always lying and being bad. On his confession day his mother
sent Nora go with Jackie. Nora ordered Jackie to tell all of his sins, including

Budda was born a prince named Siddhartha Guatama in a small kingdom in what is now Nepal in 563b.c.e. Shortly after his birth, his father consulted with a number of astrologers, all of whom declared that the newborn prince would become a great king and that he would rule the world in truth and righteousness. Among these astrologers, there was one who declared that if the prince were to see a sick person, an old person, a corpse, and a world renouncing ascetic, he .....

The Conciliar Christology
<view this essay>.... wanted to know how it was possible. The people questioned if there were two Gods. This is very interesting to me because it seems that these Christians were questioning their faith. And it is known that most people in the older times did not question their beliefs out of respect for God and their religion.
The major issues of the Conciliar time period were that the people tried to figure out how God could be God the father and Jesus Christ the Son all at the same time. They couldn’t figure out how there could only be one God. Questions of Jesus really being human arose also. The people wondered if His flesh was really flesh, and if His soul was really a .....

Theme: The Bible
<view this essay>.... those who accepted His overtures of peace and harmony. It was a choice to again become loyal subjects of God's heavenly kingdom. Those who would reject this salvation proffered them. The covenant between God and mankind is the central motif of the bible, changing the conception of God and mankind and making this relationship unique.
The concept of the covenant develops throughout the Biblical text, as God's dealings with mankind become more personal and unique. The concept of G-d's covenant develops throughout the bible as G-d reconciles mankind. This can first be seen with G-d's dealing with Adam and Eve. G-d had decreed that if Adam and Eve were to .....

The Catacombs And Christian Persecutions
<view this essay>.... the empire.
In the first century the Christians of Rome did not have their own
cemeteries. If they owned land then they buried their relatives there, if
they didn't they resorted to common cemeteries, Pagans were also buried
here. That is how Saint Peter came to be buried in the great public
"necropolis" (city of the dead) on Vatican Hill, this was available to
everybody. Saint Paul was also buried in a necropolis along the Via
Ostiense, a section of the catacombs.
In the first half of the second century, as a result of donations, the
Christians started burying their dead underground. That is how the
catacombs were founded. Many of them began and develope .....

Paul's Letter To The Galatians

be circumcised, or obey Jewish Law; however, there are no direct quotes in
scripture that say this. One would wonder why Paul, someone who grew-up
in a "good" Jewish family, would not follow in the footsteps of Jewish
Christian Missionaries, and require Christian converts to become Jews
first. He certainly had to fight to have his belief accepted! In my
opinion, Paul tried to follow the example of the original apostles (who
knew Jesus) by "converting the multitudes." I think Paul understood human
nature better than the other apostles preaching circumcision to the
gentiles. Perhaps he thought that gentiles would accept Christianity more
easily if .....
