The Crucible: Although Abigail And The Girls Initiate The Tragedy, Responsibility Lies With The Whole Salem Community
<view this essay>.... different emotions and even specific characters are brought into the play
and each one holds part of the blame - therefore bringing down the entire of the
community and causing people to turn against each other and all principles they
once believed in.
Abigail and the girls deny everything. Part od their denial is accusation. By
shifting the blame onto someone else, they believe that they will not be held
accountable for their own sins. Abigail manipulates her way through the play,
and even after Mary Warren confessed that the whole story was a pretense,
Abigail continues manipulating the court room and the people within it with
antics of ‘a wind, a cold w .....

Romeo And Juliet: Chance And Its Role
<view this essay>.... So much
that they travel at crazy speeds in their cars around corners without
thinking twice. They believe that if there is a car around that corner,
then it was fated to happen and they would still die if they were going the
speed limit. I believe that Romeo & Juliet dug there own holes with bad
decisions.
Chance plays a major part in the story. Everything starts in the
very beginning when Montegue and Capulet servants just happen to cross
paths in a public place. This is a chance meeting. Coincidence cannot be
involved now because it is too early in the story. Also by chance, the
servants are talking of their hatred of the other family and there
unwill .....

Death Of A Salesman: Willy's Suicide Is His Downfall
<view this essay>.... Act 1, “Be liked and you will never want” (1363). Willy is very misguided in his thoughts of how to be a successful person. In Willy’s mind success, respect, affection, and authority come to those who are liked by everyone not the studious people who others disliked. Willy is also disillusional in his American dream. He asks Bernard in Act 2, “What-what’s the secret”(1391). Willy wants to know the “key” to being successful. He does not understand that the “key” is to work hard to get what you want in life. His false values showed again when Biff stole a football from school and a whole case of them at the sporting goods store were he worked. Willy’s motto .....

The Story Of Oedipus
<view this essay>.... in complete innocence, for he had done some malicious
things earlier in his life, such as the attempted murder of his son, Oedipus,
and the kidnapping and rape of Chrysippus, a young man Laius fell in love with
before Jocasta. And Oedipus wasn't as guilty under ancient Greek law as he is
under our modern laws. It was every Greek's duty to harm his/her enemies, and
as far as Oedipus knew, King Laius was an enemy.
Queen Jocasta wasn't exactly guiltless, either. The great Queen had also
tried with King Laius to kill their son, and had no respect for the prophecies
of Apollo: "A prophet? Listen to me and learn some peace of mind: no skill in

Hamlet: Method In The Madness
<view this essay>.... to the ghost alone isn't as credible, but all the men are witness to the ghost demanding that they speak alone.
Horatio makes a comment in act 1, scene 4, lines 69-74 that may be where Hamlet gets the idea to use the plea of insanity to work out his plan. The important fact is that the ghost does not change form, but rather remains as the King and speaks to Hamlet rationally. There is also good reason for the ghost not to want the guards to know what he tells Hamlet, because the play could not proceed as it does if the guards heard what the ghost told Hamlet. It is the ghost of Hamlet's father who tells him, "but howsomever thou pursues this act, / Taint not .....

Pulp Fiction
<view this essay>.... take the suitcase from Winnfield, but
were unsuccessful. The whole movie serves as a warning to all mankind to avoid
the temptations of the Devil, as well as a warning to not try to play God,
because the two boys who stole the suitcase play the role of the Devil, as do
the drugs, and they were almost the downfall of the whole attempt.
The movie wasted no time in introducing the first biblical reference
when the two men try to retrieve the suitcase containing Wallace's belongings.
When Vega opened the suitcase, he used the combination "666" to open the
suitcase, and when he opened it, the contents glowed a golden-orange color.
This was obviously an introduc .....

Hamlet's Soliloquy
<view this essay>.... thoughts regarding his actions. In the first couple of lines Shakespeare discusses Hamlet’s “dull revenge”. These two words “dull” and “revenge” are contrasts to each other. The word “revenge” describes strong, powerful and intense feelings while the word “dull” describes weak and boring feelings. The contradiction of words is used to describe what Hamlet thinks about his own vengeance of his father’s death with Claudius. He feels that he hasn’t given his best effort to revenge his uncle and therefore calls his revenge “dull” which is a powerful way to describe his feelings. We get another look into the mind of Hamlet when he is talking about his thought .....

Stuck In The Middle
<view this essay>.... right in the middle of the movie, the Egan/Rafferty hit is played
as a introduction to one of the best or worst torture seens ever in the history
of movies. It depends on how you look at it. I'll set-up the scene in the movie
where it is being played, try and follow me... The five criminals hired go by
color-coded names . During the heist the cops show and things got out of
control. Two of the robbers were shot and killed after Mr. Blonde, the "on the
