Confused In America
<view this essay>.... money to get several
I-20 forms, my enthusiasm for going to university plummeted suddenly and
what I have been thinking sinc e then is to buy an air ticket to go home.
To comfort myself I thought of a principle by which I have been doing
things these days: Just fight and fumble in America to get whatever I can,
with my great motherland backing me up. The worst of it is to go back to go
on being a professor and moonli ghter and in any case, I will still be
among the para-middle-class. As to the money I spend here, well, just treat
it as the money I lose in Las Vegas.
But still I am no big gambler. When I talk about going abroad befor .....

a daily basis. Through the study of humanities, I hope to attain this goal.

Dreams: Their Analysis
<view this essay>.... The scenery seemed
to depict a post card perfect summer's day. My mother and I were walking in a
park, a park I've never visited or seen. I felt as if anyone were to stare at
us they could see the contentment and harmony radiating from myself. I was
watching myself lay down on very soft green grass, but before I did I turned
around to see if my mother was still near. I saw myself lay down under a tree.
This tree was uniquely beautiful because of its thin twisting, almost fragile
looking branches. The tree was unusual for it was bare, there were no leaves,
nor was it green. The tree just stood by itself colored naked and bare for all
to witness. The b .....

Sci-fi Gibberish Or A Glance A
<view this essay>.... arises: why science fiction is not treated and valued as such?
The answer probably lies in the conservatism of the senile members of our society who are sickly attached to biblical legends. Times do change, people do change, so why can't we accept the variation of a myth?
Sci-fi, as a part of mythology, is a reflector of our comprehension and the fruits of self-exploration. As myths, sci-fi stories don't have to be specimens of refined literature. Its literary form is not the essence. As a famous psychologist Carl Gustav Jung has put in his works, a myth is like a mirror, reflecting the messages sent by our subconsciousness to our mind, projecting them through .....

The mother and her two young boys had never before entered the United States, furthering the families feelings of extraneous inhabitants. People looked slightly different and spoke a language which was incomprehensible for most of the family.
Daily life was a lonely life. Daily routines were handled different in the States. The mother would not dare venture out on ordinarily .....

What Came First Thought Or Lan
<view this essay>.... will be found.
Firstly, a distinction has to be made between the conscious mind and the unconscious mind. There are infinitely more thoughts in our mind than we can ever perceive. The German psychologist Fechner, who lived in the second half of the nineteenth century, compared the mind to an iceberg. This iceberg has only a fraction of all the information and thoughts stored in the mind above the water level, on the surface of consciousness, but by far the biggest part of it is hidden underwater, in the unconscious mind. Recent research has shown that only a very tiny proportion of our unconscious thinking is converted to conscious thinking. This conversion pr .....

The United States Steel Indust
<view this essay>.... United States imported 41.5 million tons of steel products, up thirty three percent from the previous record of 31 million tons imported in 1997.
The combined result of numerous steel industrial policies is that the world has tremendous excess production capacity in steel. Dumping, which is sales in export markets below cost or sales below the price in the home market, is the frequent result. In response to the recent increase of steel imports, a group of major U.S. steel producers filed a petition with the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) and the Department of Commerce alleging that the steel imports from Brazil, Japan and Russia are sold in the U .....
