Act of 1996(Located in the Telecommunications Act Of 1996). This act more or
less states that the Internet should be censored and be given restrictions. The

The U.S. Penal System
<view this essay>.... believe that if we want to
rehabilitate criminals we must do more than just send them to prison.
For instance, we could give them a chance to acquire job skills; which
will improve the chances that inmates will become productive citizens
upon release. The programs must aim to change those who want to
change. Those who are taught to produce useful goods and to be
productive are "likely to develop the self-esteem essential to a
normal, integrated personality" (Szumski 21). This kind of program
would provide skills and habits and "replace the sense of
hopelessness" that many inm .....

George Washington And Thomas Jefferson Grew It, Why Can’t We?
<view this essay>.... have been discovered in tombs dating back to 8,000 B.C. It is completely evident that hemp has been a foundation in America for many years. But today, although consumers can buy materials made out of hemp if they look in the right places, it is illegal to grow it and is always imported to the United States from foreign countries. In fact, American business currently imports over $75,000,000 worth of hemp products annually. If these products were produced domestically, Missouri’s farmers alone could earn $100-$500 per acre growing hemp. Many Americans seem to be uninformed of the actual facts about the cannabis sativa plant and why it is such a useful cr .....

Substance Abuse Increasing In Inner-City Minorities
<view this essay>.... classes and the abuse in the middle and upper classes. The upper
classes drug of choose is powder cocaine. The less fortunate classes prefer rock

up, the poor don't.
Crack is cocaine mixed with baking soda and cooked in to rock form 6.

The Death Penalty
<view this essay>.... so the public would be aware of
what would happen if you decided to follow your own religion. Many burned at
the stake were women and some were even children. It is ironic that
Christianity is built around forgiveness. Many other gruesome mass executions
throughout the ages were performed for minor crimes that today would be classed
as mmisdemeanors.
One of the most vicious methods of execution ever invented was geared
not only to inflict pain but to provide a gruesome spectacle for the public. It
was the English punishment for treason. It is called hanging, drawing and
countering. First you would be dragged to the place of execution on a hurdle.

The Importance Of Plea Bargaining In Criminal Trials
<view this essay>.... without plea bargaining many criminals would never be
punished for their crimes at all. It is as simple as that. Granted, a plea
bargain is, by definition, a compromise. But it is a compromise that is
absolutely necessary for the judicial system to function. While it may seem
that a person who exchanges his testimony for a lighter sentence would have
sufficient motivation to lie in court the fact is that his testimony is simply
verifying the testimonies of other witnesses. In a majority of cases plea
bargains is utilized to ensure that the truly guilty criminal is punished. In
our less than perfect world, plea bargaining is easily the lesser of the e .....
