Since Seamus Heaney is Irish there is an obvious link to his country. When the poet writes about his Grandfather he implies that there used to be a lot of turf cutters in his day.
‘My Grandfather cut more turf in a day than any other man on Toners bog.’

He is wearing an undeserved dignity, which is a point well made by the uses of clothing imagery. The description of the purpose of clothing in Macbeth is the fact that these garments are not his. Therefore, Macbeth is uncomfortable in them because he is continually conscious of the fact that they do not belong to him. In the following passage, the idea constantly reappears, Macbeth’s new honors sit ill upon him, like loose and badly fitting garments, belonging to someone else:
New honors come upon him
Like strange garments,

her marriage to Charles. Emma's active decisions though were based
increasingly as the novel progresses on her fantasies. The lechery to
which she falls victim is a product of the debilitating adventures her
mind takes. These adventures are feed by the novels that she re .....

Essentially, "" has many traits of a post-modern novel, it deals with chaos and order, has multi-layered interpretations, provokes an ambiguous and mixed reaction from the reader, and has varied approaches to the conventional storyline; beginning, exposition, and closure. There are liberties taken with the time structure of the narrative. The story itself is like a "mural, [the] falling together of accomplices." Ondaatje tells of ordinary people who’s stories interlock and intersect, with many "fragments of human order". Ondaatje does not tell the stories loosely and scattered with no real purpose in mind, he employ .....

Also, if the novel is not of interest to the student, he may not even
bother to read the book, however, since it is forced upon him, it would be
read in a hurry.
If a novel is read in a hurry, the joy of reading it is lost
because the reader would most likely look over the words just enough to
understand the plot but would not go in detail. The detail in a novel is
very important since it helps create atmosphere and mood which results in
the reader beginning to imagine himself as the character. In some novels,
for example, just the details of the surroundings of the character's
location .....

Welcome To The Monkey House
<view this essay>.... then our society will never grow to become a better place. What censorship does is keep us protected; leaving us living sheltered lives. If we never see a racist comment how are we to know that racism is bad? At the same time Censorship can be a good thing because it keeps children from seeing pornography, and terrible acts of violence. However censorship should not keep anyone from seeing literature, even if it is considered slightly explicit in a sexual, racial, or violent manner. Censorship should leave the ideas of people alone and leave them with their first amendment rights. Amendment one of the United States Bill of Rights reads "Congress shall make n .....
