Reading The Light
<view this essay>.... of the story, David, Maria and Brian went to the park where the author stated “The three of them stood huddled in the glare of ice and sun.” (7) My heart sank. They just stood there accepting that their family was breaking up. I thought that Roger Pfingston wrote this story from his heart. I was able to put myself in Brian’s place and actually feel how I thought he would feel.
The story that stretched my imagination the most was “Charles” by Shirley Jackson. Even though children have wild imaginations, it did not occur to me that a child in kindergarten would tell such an elaborate lie. When I looked back in the story, I found t .....

If you ask me, the moment is now, but I don't complain. At age 15 and 5'7", Dexter weighs 80 pounds and his mother weighs the same at one inch shorter. One day they'll finally consume me, but they shouldn't kid themselves that it will make any difference. Their time is approaching.
We've lived like this ever since Dexter can remember, but not me. I remember long before th .....

Julius Caesae
<view this essay>.... be killed of the Ides of March. Caesar, who studies the man and his words, exercises poor judgement in dismissing both.
In Act I, Scene 2 of Julius Caesar, a Soothsayer calls out from the crowd to Julius Caesar, warning him to “Beware of the Ides of March!” (Line 21). Caesar asks the Soothsayer to come forward and repeat the warning again and decides, “He is a dreamer, let us leave him” (Line 29). Huck Finn, A Journey
<view this essay>.... This is the time span in a hero’s life prior to the unexpected adventure he is to embark on. Huck’s childhood consisted of childish games with his best friend Tom Sawyer. Huck’s days were filled with games of pretend that were supposed to be actual adventures. However, many of the adventures were figments of Tom Sawyer’s imagination. This is important to know since Tom’s description of an adventure is something that is not real and everything Tom reads contributes to the adventures him and Huck have. Huck’s adventures, though, are ones that are unforeseen and are probably are the more ‘real’ ones in the book.
