.... abuses of power. Orwell's entire purpose of writing the novel was to worn against the dangers of society forming a totalitarian society. He effectively creates a story that almost completely parallels the history of the Russian revolution. Although I do think this is a great book I believe it has some flaws. One of the major flaws with the writing of this book is that if the reader does not have any prior knowledge of the Russian revolution then he will surely miss most of the important aspects of the book. I do not think Orwell took into account his audience when he wrote this book. He must have known that not everyone who would read his great work .....

Hamlet must devise a plan to take revenge for his father and bring to justice all the people who have marred the situation. .... sentences even seem drab and emotionless. Another similarity between the books that could be due to the author’s writing style is the lack of physical description for the characters. In most books, a mental image can be formed of the characters, but in Hemingway’s novels, the physical portion of the image is hard to form. Both of the books also seemed to lack closure and resolution at the end. The endings left the reader to believe that none of the events that occurred during the story had any effect on the characters. In both books, the characters went on living as they always had. This is how the revenge theme is weaved into the play. The twenty-first chapter shows this change, and the chapter is important because it includes Alex's mature assessment of his own adolescence and shows the importance of maturity to moral freedom which is Burgess's main point. Burgess has presented his definition of moral freedom in both his introduction and in his novel. Burgess's definition of moral freedom as the ability to perform both good and evil is presented by implication in his discussion of the first kind of clockwork orange. Although Neo does appear to fit the hero archetype, freeing the human race from mental oppression cannot be the job of a coward. When a character exhibits certain characteristics, an audience will interpret these characteristics and identify that character as a hero. The first clue to Neo's heroic character is that he is separated from a place of comfort and taken to new surroundings. That is the first step in a hero journey and this happens to Neo when he is taken out of the Matrix.
