His characters lived interchangeable but distinct lives with different joys, loves, sins, and morals. “Be true, be true, be true!” rings out throughout the entire novel, and this justifies that perhaps the greatest theme emphasized by Nathaniel Hawthorne is that which is founded on honesty. There were several honest and dishonest people in The Scarlet Letter, and each of their lives ere changed due to their ethics. On page 38 it reads "It was impossible to look at Zerkow and not know instantly that greed-inordinate, insatiable greed -was the dominate passion of the man." This shows us that greed is what turns this guys wheels He ends up marrying her only with the hope that she might be able to locate these missing riches. When she is unable to find the gold he becomes mad at her and slits her throat before killing himself. It has the ability to lighten almost any situation and put people at ease. Humor is a common bond between any person on earth, from the very wealthy to the impoverished. Idgie Threadgoode is the perfect embodiment of humor. Her wisecracks and tall tales helped her to face a number of less-than-comfortable situations throughout the novel. A prime example of her use of humor was with Smokey Lonesome. When Smokey first comes into the café for a bite to eat, he is so nervou .....

Charlotte knows that even though she wants to marry more than anything in the world, she does not expect love to come about; thus, she decides that it is probably even better if you don't know a thing at all about the person you are marrying. Douglass does offer a biased review of slavery, as he was born into it, yet even in his bias he is able to detect and detail the differences in the slave holders cruelty and that to which he was subjected. From being whipped and humiliated daily, "a very severe whipping… for being awkward" (101), to being able to find his own work and save some money, "I was able to command the highest wages given to the most experienced calkers" (134), he is able to give the reader a more true picture of slavery. I find that everything goes wrong in our world; that nobody knows his place in society or his duty, what he's doing or what he ought to be doing, and that outside of mealtimes...the rest of the day is spent in useless quarrels...-it's one unending warfare .....

.... that puts into motion a set of chained events. This situation is when Macbeth first met the three weird sisters in the beginning part of the play. The three weird sisters introduced two prophecies to Macbeth. The first prophecy is "All hail, Macbeth! Hail to thee, Thane of Cawdor. (Act 1, Scene 3)." The second prophecy is "All hail, Macbeth, that shalt be King hereafter! (Act 1, Scene 3)" The prophecies of the three witches spark up a flare in Macbeth's mind. After the first of the two prophecies came true, he was faced with the decision to assassin King Duncan or to sit down calmly and do nothing about it. Macbeth's final decision was to kill the king .....
