.... James never committed to ghost story or psychological meanings, it is almost too obvious that there were hidden messages. Henry James can capture a reader by the imagination and hard thinking. There is enough evidence to convince proponents of either opinion. It’s probably not so much the evidence as it is the predilection of the proponent that determines their choice. A person who has an imaginative soul or who finds it easy to rise above the mundane restrictions of everyday life would probably argue that Peter Quint and Miss Jessel are ghosts, where as a more logical thinker with a literal sense of mind would probably search out the explanation in psychop .....

He then realizes that Gandalf has tricked him by inscribing on his door that he was a burglar seeking a job with lots of excitement. With all this talk of quests and glory Biblo decides to join the party after all. Gandalf reveals a key and a map of their journey, which ends at the Lonely Mountain. It is there that the treasure of Thorins' ancestors is guarded by Smaug. The quest begins and the party meets at the Green Dragon Inn. From there they venture into the Lone-lands. As heavy rains begin to fall, Biblo notices that Gandalf is missing. .....

.... plot of East of Eden is centered upon the two sets of brothers representing Cain and Abel. Both pairs are similar to Cain and Abel in the way they go about winning their fathers’ favors. All four give gifts to their fathers, and the fathers dismiss the gifts of Charles and Caleb, the Cain representations (Marks, Jay Lester. p.121). Caleb and Charles Trask are obviously the more malignant brothers. They are also the more loving towards their father. The new found awareness was so powerful that it changed each boy’s entire outlook and they both began to see the world through new eyes.
