.... Blanche was looking for a compliment, but Stanley is not the complimenting type. Stella has to tell Stanley secretly to once in while give Blanche a nice compliment. Blanche used to have a nice house with big white columns in Belle Reve. Stella left Belle Reve to come to New Orleans. Blanche now comes to New Orleans saying that Belle Reve is lost but doesn’t explain how.
