.... liked looking at and up to the "freaks" or "Goths." It was then she decided that was what she wanted to be. When she was thirteen she began to dress in "black" and it made her realize that she was expressing herself more than she ever had before. Rachel also likes dressing this way because it "gives [her] a certain thrill and satisfaction with [herself]." Today, Rachel's reasons for dressing the way she does are still the same. It's strange, but she says that she's tried to dress "normal" once or twice, but ....
