This story is very vivid and imaginative from a period in time that seemed to be lacking excitement The story has a lot of gore that is explained very detailed, especially when Grendel attacks, "Grendel snatched at the first Geat he came to, ripped him apart, cut his body to bits with powerful jaws, drank the blood from his veins and bolted him down..."
