Mononucleosis
<view this essay>.... sick for a length of time such as two weeks drains you of strength and energy and as well you lose a lot of your muscles. Balance can also become lost with such an illness, which requires time to develop.
is known to be caused by the Epstein_Barr virus (EBV), which can be passed by coughing, sneezing or saliva transfer, where it gets it’s popular name, the “kissing disease”. Much like chicken pox, most people don’t receive a second time in their life, but it can happen. Relapses can occur, but are fairly uncommon. Although you can receive the disease very easily, is not highly contagious, according to the majority of sources.

The Forever Moving Land
<view this essay>.... today is a result of continental drift. During
the Earth's existance, the magnetic fields have never been stable. Solidified
magma containing magnetic imprints reveal periods of time when the Earth's
magnetic fields have actually been reversed.
Approximately 4.55 billion years ago, the Earth was just a ball of
molten material. Since then, parts of the Earth have cooled forming the solid
crust-mantle. This process has been occurring for roughly about 3.8 billion
years. The mantle is about 2900 km. thick, which lies above a layer of molten
magma that still exists today. The immense heat from the magma (approximately
2700(C) causes convection in the mantle .....

Photosysthesis Experiment
<view this essay>.... These are the two ways that energy is created during light reactions.
Dark reactions can occur in the absence of light as well as when light is present. The first and most important step of dark reactions, the carbon fixation step, involves rubisco. What happens is that rybluose which contains five carbons takes the carbon in carbon dioxide and makes the six carbon sugar glucose as described in Vodopich's definition.
For the first part of our experiment we wanted to observe how using paper chromatography separates pigments. Paper chromatography works since the pigments in plants have different polarities, weights, and sizes. Although, it was hard .....

Silverfish
<view this essay>.... Silverfish bugs live for about two to 2 1/2 years.
COMPLETE SCIENTIFIC CLASSIFICATION: Kingdom: Animalia Phylum: Arthropoda
Sub-phylum: Chelicerata Class: Insecta Order: Thysanum Family: Lepismati
Genus: Metalus Species: Gerrainus
LIFE CYCLE: Silverfish undergo incomplete metamorphosis. Adults lay eggs in
small groups containing a few to 50 eggs. The eggs are very small and deposited
in cracks and crevices. A female normally lays less than 100 eggs during her
life span . Under ideal conditions, the eggs hatch in two weeks, but may take up
to two months to hatch. The young nymphs are very much like the adults except
for size. Several years are re .....

Acid Rain
<view this essay>.... in Manchester, English, was
causing metal to rust and dyed goods to fade. One source that causes acid rain
are fossil fuel. Fossil fuel has many usage in our society. Such as to power
electric power plants, industrial boilers, smelters, businesses, schools, homes
and vehicles of all sort. These various energy sources contribute 23.1 million
tons of sulfur dioxide and 20.5 million tons of nitrogen oxides to our
atmosphere worldwide. When fossil fuels are ignited like oil and coal, they
release carbon dioxide, a so-called greenhouse gas that traps heat within the
earth's atmosphere which causes global warming that is taking place right now.
Also, it rele .....

Continental Drift
<view this essay>.... horizontal alterations in the granite continents floating on the sea of the basaltic ocean floors. The frictional drag along the leading edges of the drifting continents created mountains. Wegener's theory met controversy until 1954, when British geophysicists seeking to explain the phenomenon of polar wandering revived it. Since then, the modern theory of Plate Tectonics has evolved from and replaced Wegener's original thesis.
Plate Tectonics is the theory that deals with the structure, history, and dynamics of the earth's crust. The earth's crust is formed of 13 continental plates. The boundaries of the zones are where tectonic activities occur, and .....

sculpture and buildings found in many different parts of the world. All over
Europe and South America there is evidence left behind by the ancient people of
these great civilizations.par tab First, a look at whether there is or could
be intelligent life on other planets. It is conceivable that we world citizens
of the twentieth century are not the only living beings of our kind in the
cosmos. Because no alienspar from another planet is on display in a museum
for us to visit, the answer, "our earth is the only planet with human beings,"
still seems to be legitimate and convincing. But that is a very narrow-minded
way to look .....

Lenz's Law And Faraday's Law Of Induction
<view this essay>.... Lenz's law. Let us apply it to the case of relative motion between a magnet
and a coil. The changing flux induces an emf, which produces a current in the
coil; and this induced current produces its own magnet field. If the distance
between the coil and the magnet decreases; so the magnetic field, and therefore
the flux, through the coil increases. The magnetic field of the magnet points
upward. To oppose this upward increase, the field produced by the induced
current must point downward. Thus Lenz's law tells us that the current must move
by the use of the use of the right hand rule. If the flux decreases, so the
induced current produces an upward magnetic fiel .....
