Acting To Save Mother Earth
<view this essay>.... up one tree. That means close to 250 million trees each year are destroyed for paper in this country alone. If we recycled only one-tenth of our newpaper, we would save 25 million trees a year. Second, making new paper from old paper uses up much less energy than making paper from trees. Finally, this process also reduces the air pollution of paper-making by 95 percent.
Another earth saving habit is "precycling" waste. This means buying food and other products packaged only in materials that will decay naturally or that can be recycled. The idea is to prevent unrecyclable materials from even entering the home. For instance, 60 of the 190 pounds of plast .....

One way they planned on doing this was to make something called the Philosophers Stone which would work by touching the stone to a metal and it would transform into the metal the alchemists wanted. Many alchemists would spend there whole lives searching for the substance that would start the transmutation that would make them rich, also many alchemists were hired by lords and noblemen who wanted to know the secret so they could become wealthier then they already were. Cloning
<view this essay>.... a strand of DNA from one organism with the egg cell of another which creates a genetically matched life form. The actual merging process between the cells is called Nuclear Transfer. In this process the nucleus of one donor cell is removed and placed into a lab dish and starved of nutrients; it is then placed into a lab dish with a fertilized egg cell. Naturally, the cell that was starved will try to fuse with the healthy cell but it will need a little help. These two cells are then electrified thereby causing the two cells to fuse together combining their genetic structures.
