Creatine 2
<view this essay>.... and kidney damage, constriction of the blood vessels around the heart, pancretitis, and asthma.
Muscle tears and pulls are said to be linked to Creatine when used in physical activity. Reasons for pulls and tears are the fast growth of the muscles. This can cause muscles to be tighter than usual causing pulls and tears.
Liver and kidney damage are caused by Creatine increasing the amount of ATP (adenosine tryphosphate) that is used for energy, made by the kidneys, which can cause the kidneys to stop producing ATP because of an overload of ATP being made from the Creatine. This can result in kidney or liver failure.
Constriction of the blood vessels occurs wh .....

The MOBOT Project: Longwood
<view this essay>.... of the MOBOT Project was to design and build a programmable
robot. The robot had to complete a series of four movements in four given
directions over a distance of at least 6 inches. Power and weight restrictions
were applied to ensure the safety of the students and, more importantly, the
teacher. As the goals of the project were made clearer, our group began
discussing possible ideas for the design. There were some disagreements about
whether we should take the electromechanical route or the purely electrical one.
And after some deep thought, we all agreed that the mechanical way would be the
simplest to build and the most merciful on our pocketbooks. Ev .....

Mitochondrion
<view this essay>.... are not a true organelle, but more of a
parasite that invaded primordial cells and evolved along with them. A
mitochondrian’s main purpose is to burn energy through a slow method of
combustion, which will consume as much air to burn as fire will, just to break
down nutrients into simpler substances. These simpler molecules then bond with
the atoms that will need the energy to function. Then, enzymes in the
mitochondrion break up the atoms and then recapture them again. This time, the
energy atoms will be bonded in a different molecule to form ATP, or adenosine
triphosphate. ATP has an adenosine core and three phosphates attached to it,
hence its name .....

The Choosing Of A Landfill Site
<view this essay>.... to
waste type only, is described below, together with a classification according to
landfill strategy.
The EU Draft Landfill Directive recognises three main types of landfill:
Hazardous waste landfill
Municipal waste landfill
Inert waste landfill
Similar categories are used in many other parts of the world. In practice, these
categories are not clear-cut. The Draft Directive recognises variants, such as
mono-disposal - where only a single waste type (which may or may not be
hazardous) is deposited - and joint-disposal - where municipal and hazardous
wastes may be co-deposited in order to gain benefit from municipal waste
decomposition processe .....

Reproduction: A-Courting To Nature!
<view this essay>.... an animal world marked daily
by scenes of courtship, spurning and love triumphant. And take note:
these are not the imaginings of some Disney screen-16 writer. Decades ago
Konrad Lorenz, a famed Austrian naturalist, made detailed studies of
Greylags and afterwards showed no hesitation in using words like love,
grief and even embarrassment to describe the behavior of these large,
social birds.
At the same time he did not forget that all romance - animal and human -
is tied intimately to natural selection. Natural selection brought on the
evolution of males and females during prehistoric epochs when
environmental change was making life difficult for single- .....

Killer Bees
<view this essay>.... 500 km (300 mi) per year. By the 1980s, Africanized honeybees had reached Central America and soon colonized Mexico. In 1990, the first swarm was found in the United States. The bees spread from Texas to New Mexico and Arizona and then into California by 1994.
The bees reached an apparent climatic limit to their southern range in the middle of Argentina, and their range is expected to be similarly limited to the southern and coastal states in the United States. They have hybridized to some extent with resident wild and hive populations of European honeybees. However, many of the basic African honeybee traits remain, including rapid population growth, frequent .....

Ehrlich's Population Bomb
<view this essay>.... Ehrlich explains situation using various examples of how mass
starvation is inevitable if population continues to increase the way it is
currently. In third world countries their food supplies are becoming
increasingly scarce because of their increasing populations. In these third
world countries the rich-poor gap is increasing creating the potential for large
parts of the population to starve. Paraphrasing Ehrlich's ideas in chapter can
be explained as; there is only so many resources and as population increases
those resources will soon be depleted. Ehrlich uses historical population
research to lead to the conclusion that in 90 years the population co .....

Household Waste!
<view this essay>.... -- it hit me, my mom's hand.
"Never, Never, Never, use Bleach with ammonia. Infact don't mix any

with household chemicals/cleaners. In this assignment I will examine different
cleaners commonly used in my house.
I Ajax
I go to the cupboard and find a can of the powder, Ajax. The can use to
have a piece of tape to cover the top but now it has been lost; a potential
problem. The can has an expiration date on it, 9/98. This expiration date may be
incorrect because that piece of tape to cover it has been lost for some time now.
