<view this essay>.... “good” characters represent everyone with their as they gain knowledge
from suffering.
Lear, is the character most obviously made to suffer. In the
beginning of the drama, Lear is unable to see the good in his daughter
Cordelia. He is so egotistical that when Cordelia explains her love for
him is that of a daughter for her father, he becomes enraged. He desires
to hear she loves him more than she could love anyone, ever.
Cordelia: Good my lord,
You have begot me, bred me, loved me.
I return those duties back as are right fit:
Obey you, love you, and most honor you........
That lord whose hand must take my plight shall carry

Macbeth: Macbeth Is More Guilty By His Actions Than Lady Macbeth Is By Hers
<view this essay>.... Duncan. Furthermore he did some killing on his own. Lady Macbeth
did not have any involvement in these cases. Based on these facts, Macbeth
would be found more guilty than Lady Macbeth.
The very first murder in this story was committed on Duncan. This crime was
planned by both Macbeth and Lady Macbeth. The actual murder was done by Macbeth,
making him more guilty of the crime. Lady Macbeth just talked about committing
the crime, but she never actually went through with it nor would she ever, and
that is all that counts. Talking about committing the incident is very
different from actually doing it. Lady Macbeth did a little more than just talk
about it t .....

The following paintings, Poppy Field in a Hollow near Giverny (Poppy Field) by Monet and The Ravine by Van Gogh will allow us to further investigate the two artists’ stylistic orientation. MacBeth: Everyone Who Is Moral Has At Least One Flaw
<view this essay>.... The first
Thane of Cawdor, is killed by MacBeth for trying to lead a revolution
against England. His fatal flaw was that he was according to Ross, "a
disloyal traitor". The thane of Cawdor was greedy, and wanted the throne of
England for himself, and as a result was murdered. But his murder wasn't
really disheartening, because the Thane of Cawdor, deserved his fate. He
was leading a battle, in which many lost their lives, for the sake of greed,
and deserved to die because of his flaw. Duncan was the King of England,
and was murdered by MacBeth. He was murdered, because in order for MacBeth
to fulfill his plan and become king, Duncan would have to die. Du .....

Movie Review: The Color Purple
<view this essay>.... had little, if any,
respect toward the original story, by Alice Walker. He slaughtered a story most
people had heard of, but never read. I thought the movie itself was rather good.
It had it's own good and bad points. Up until about when Sofia left Harpo, they
were almost identical. After that they are almost two different stories with
the same ending.
The movie was written purely for entertainment. It added a small number of
scenes, but cut more than it added. Also, it emphasized different parts of the
story than the book. The film is about a young black girl growing up in the
south, abused by, first, her father, then her husband, whom she had no c .....

The Classification System In Greek Drama
<view this essay>.... in professionalism. The more actors you had to star in your play the more "professional" it became. If you think to movies and plays today, a story told with star actors seems to carry on a more professional status than those told without stars. A feature with Robert DiNero and Ray Liotta is going to sound more professional than a movie done with want-to-be actors.
The rule also gave way for more effective portrayal of a character. It did this in two ways. First, it gave a way to make the character deeper by giving him contrast to the other characters. Second, it gave an outlet where the characters could form unions with each other. They could team up .....

Macbeth: A Noble And Highly Respected Figure In Ducan's Reign
<view this essay>.... 4); but Macbeth was given all the credit, and titled "My worthy Cawdor!"
(Act 1 Scene 4), Thane of Cawdor for his service. It was during this scene,
where Duncan announced Malcom as his future successor, that Macbeth's thoughts
became evil obsessions. A power was taking over him, his own flaw from evil,
brought about by the weird sisters. "Stars, hide your fires, Let not the light
see my black and deep desires." (Act 1 Scene 4).
Macbeth's flaw is highly influenced by his wife, Lady Macbeth, who has wicked
thoughts, and persuades Macbeth into many actions he would not normally do.
"Only look up clear: To alter favour ever is to fear. Leave all the rest to .....

Catastrophes That Plagued Characters In Romeo And Juliet
<view this essay>.... He should have gotten a reliable messenger to inform
Romeo of the situation.
Romeo's friend Mercutio was a very witty energetic man. If he held his
tongue and thought about what he said before acting on them he would not have
gotten into so many fights. His jokes were probably taken lightly be his
friends Romeo and Benvolio because they were accustomed to hearing Mercutio's
voice constantly. Mercutio should not have tried to tease Tybalt because of the
rivalry between Tybalt's family and Romeo's family.
While avenging Mercutio, Romeo should have thought about the
consequences of slaying Tybalt. On one hand he filled the urge to kill the man
who had kil .....
