The Crucible: John Proctor
<view this essay>.... to
convince everyone that the girls were lying, was an instance of bravery because
children were thought of as the vice of god and they were pure of blemishes.
Proctor also fought the court trying to keep them from convicting his spouse
even though nobody else would dare to do. Another quality that made him brave
was when he confessed to the court that he had an affair with Abigail just to
save his life.
That John Proctor is brave, is obvious but ha can also be very extreme
at some times. An instance of Proctor's extremity was when he shouted, "I say -
I say - God is dead!"(Pg. 119), and that he will see all of them burn in hell.
That statement implied to .....

<view this essay>.... privilege of Athens: As she is mine, I may dispose of her: Which shall be, either to this gentleman, Or to her death, according to our law immediately provided in that case.” (Act I, Scene I, Line 41-5). This shows his jealous rage as what one would do for someone’s love. At first, Helena is jealous of Hermia because Demetrius is in love with Hermia and not her. Demetrius stole Helena’s heart, and now is after Hermia. Helena wants to be like Hermia because then Dimities would like her. “Sickness is catching: O were favour so, Yours would I catch, Fair Hermia, ere I go, My ear should catch your voice, my eye your eye, My tongue should catch your tongu .....

King Lear: Consequences Of One Man's Decisions
<view this essay>.... As the play opens one can almost immediately see that Lear begins to
make mistakes that will eventually result in his downfall. The very first
words that he speaks in the play are :-
"...Give me the map there. Know that we have divided In three our kingdom,
and 'tis our fast intent To shake all cares and business from our age,
Conferring them on younger strengths while we Unburdened crawl to death..."
(Act I, Sc i, Ln 38-41)
This gives the reader the first indication of Lear's intent to abdicate his
throne. He goes on further to offer pieces of his kingdom to his daughters
as a form of reward to his test of love.

Exploring Sexuality In "Taming Of The Shrew"
<view this essay>.... tries to persuade some of Bianca's suitors to
pursue Kate instead. However, they make it clear that none of them could desire
Kate. "Mates, maid? How mean you that? No mates for you unless you were of a
gentler, milder, mold" (I,i, lines 58 - 60). From this it is clear that the men
in the play prefer a better "mold" than Kate, in other words, she does not carry
herself as well as Bianca. Kate does not play the coy flirting games, and is
therefore thought of as harsher than Bianca.
Bianca, however, knows how to be flirtatious, witty, and coy around her
admirers, and yet is almost intentionally mean to Kate. For instance, Bianca
knows that it hurts Kat .....

worldly honors; his delight lies primarily in buying golden opinions from all
sorts of people. But we must not, therefore, deny him an entirely human
complexity of motives. For example, his fighting in Duncan's service is
magnificent and courageous, and his evident joy in it is traceable in art to the
natural pleasure which accompanies the explosive expenditure of prodigious
physical energy and the euphoria which follows. He also rejoices no doubt in the
success which crowns his efforts in battle - and so on. He may even conceived of
the proper motive which should energize back of his great deed:
The service and the loyalty I owe,
In doing .....

Oedipus: Villain He Is
<view this essay>.... being the villain he is, still accuses a blind old man of the murder plot on King Laios. Another example of accusations from Oedipus is, "If Creon, whom I trusted , Creon my friend, For this great office which the city once put in my hands unsought-if for this power Creon desires in secret to destroy me" (1245)! Oedipus is now accusing Creon to be plotting to kill him. These illustrations surely demonstrate how quick Oedipus comes to judging and accusing others of very major and treacherous crimes. Oedipus repeatedly and falsely accused others of the crime that he committed, even though unknowing at the time. Even Creon tells him, "You cannot judge unle .....

To achieve this purpose the produces use Advertising. Advertising
was needed only when several manufactures started manufacturing the same
product or when a manufacturer produces something that is not essential

At the beginning advertisements gave the plus points of a product
and showed how it can help a person in everyday life. This was good because
the people got to know what they could buy to make life easier. At this
time what advertising did was to say that this product is available it can
