Capital Punishment
<view this essay>.... that it may be well worth their risk.
Although in the past, the number of crimes that were subjected to
capital punishment, defined simply as the death penalty for a crime, were
outrageous. Amendments were made to reflect the changes in the society's
views on the morality of capital punishment. That resulted in the
narrowing down of the list of one hundred crimes to twelve, punishable by
the death penalty in 1833, and in 1869 it was cut down yet again to just
three: treason, rape, and murder because of violent nature of these crimes.
These crimes, even today, are still viewed as violent and should be
punished with the highest degree of disc .....

Pornography
<view this essay>.... I do not think liberals, or others for that matter, should have much
problem with the clause dealing with assault, since a causal connection to
specific works is demanded by it. However, s. 3.2(iii) which deals with
trafficking would be very problematic for liberals and legal conservatives
because it creates a cause of action for a person contrary to the
traditional conception of a rights holder's cause of action. This
subsection reads:
Any woman has a claim hereunder as a woman acting
against the subordination of women. Any man, child or
transsexual who alleges injury by pornography in the
way women are injured .....

The Drinking Age: Legal Age Should Be 18
<view this essay>.... S. Clark, “Underage Drinking,” March 13, 1992, p.3) Lowering the
drinking age would apparently solve this problem. The Drinking Age Bill
unfairly discriminates against eighteen-year-olds who can marry, carry
weapons, serve in the military, and vote. (Charles S. Clark, “Underage
Drinking,” March 13, 1992, p.3)
Everyday, taxpayers' money is spent controlling underage drinking
and deciding the consequences that will follow. If the age of majority
were to be lowered to eighteen, taxpayers' money could be saved to use on
something more valuable. In addition, teenagers would not feel as though
they were being controlled.
In addition to saving money .....

Marijuana is not a narcotic and is not mentally or physically addicting drug. One can use mild cannabis preparations such as marijuana in small amounts for years without physical or mental deterioration. Marijuana serves to diminish inhibitions and acts as an euphoriant. Only once in a while will it produce actual hallucinations. More potent preparations of cannabis such as hashish can induce psychedelic experiences identical to those observed after ingestion of potent hallucinogens such as LSD. Pass The Weed
<view this essay>.... but a reaction to the new laws from the
federal government seems unlikely. Optimistic supporters hope that similar
policies and propositions will soon come to voters in other states.
The debate over the legalization of Cannabis Sativa, more commonly known
as marijuana, is currently one of the more heated controversies in the country
today. The drug has been unrightfully prohibited since the 1930's for its

safely explore marijuana's usage for both medicinal and hallucinogenic
properties. The usage of marijuana has existed for thousands of years in many
countries world wide a .....
