.... in “Birches”, lines 48-59, it shows that the poem is about being carefree. Frost wishes he could be like the boy swinging from the birch trees. The poem sets the picture of a boy swinging from the tree branches, but he really is talking about being carefree. He says that earth is the right place for love. He says that he doesn’t know where he would like to go better, but he would like to go swinging from the birches. Another example of symbolic description comes from the poem, “Desert Places”; he talks about how he will not be scared of the desert places, but of the loneliness. He is scared of his own loneliness, his own desert pla .....

Richard Truly states, “They need to build the space station Freedom with our other foreign partners to keep the leadership position the U.S. holds in space.” Richard Truly believes that we as a country need to keep this position as number one. He thinks it is a matter of both world leadership and economics. I don’t think that building the space station should be considered a contest of which country can do it faster and better. .... article. Some parts I like and others I did not. The author starts off the essay talking about how immigrants are making the population increase in dramatic numbers. He then proceeds on talking about how farming technology is improving. The technology that he talks about is still used today, but it is much improved. The immigrants that came over did not have the new and could not afford the technology that was being used by the bigger farmers. They still had to use the basics: shovel and hoe. This new technology also led to being able to take care of more land at one time and debt. The bankers realized that farmers could not afford the new techn .....

.... T.J.’s idea to build a roof garden, and he figures out how to build it. He knew how to speak to other people, persuading them to do what he wanted them to do. For example, he informed the other boys to find sand and carry it up to the roof. The narrator stated, “T.J. was smart enough to start in one corner of the building, heaping up the carried earth two or three feel thick, so that we had an immediate result to look at…” He did not want to plant grass, but the other boys kept on telling him how great it would be to play on it and to have picnics. T.J. still wanted to plant crops, but he was smart to give in. “He always knew when to give in” the narrator .....
