Even though Dhowli is not permitted to engage in the same traditions the other Dusads do, she still longs for them. Alas she is a lowly Dusad widow, an “untouchable,” and she knows deep within her soul that she will never experience any of these glorious things again. And even as she realizes this, her mind insists that there is a man, a Brahman, standing before her relentlessly proclaiming his lov .....

(414, Editor) "Magic realism", a technique often employed by Rushdie is essential to the structure of how the story of the book is conveyed. Pride And Prejudice
<view this essay>.... only marry someone of at least equivalent rank. This idea possesses
every character in the story and seems to motivate every action that
is taken.
The superficiality of this idea goes so far as to break the
bonds of love. Darcy is willing to insult a girl as he is proposing to
her, just to inform her of the what he has to go through in order to
stoop to someone of her level. Regardless of what Darcy thought
his chances were at acceptance, he was still addressing a girl that
barely knows him, and actually dislikes him. That is not a situation

Essay On Mystery
<view this essay>.... the fact that it is not a pure bred
detective story, or a police procedural, nor romantic suspense nor or a gothic
novel. I would say it is a mixture of detective story as the person who is
seeking who killed her sister is in no way a detective, but she is the main

suspense, as a romantic atmosphere starts to occur between Liz and Ted as she
starts to realize that Ted is not the killer, and they end up as a couple right
at the end of the story. To get into more detail about the mixture of these two
classic and celebrated styles, I will use the sheet I was thankfully given by Ms.
Milliorn .....

Schwartz does a very good job of showing the reader the experience she is
trying to convey. She does this by using a couple different characters
throughout the story. The main ones she uses are the parents, and that is the
very obvious example. A few other examples are not as clear, but they do show
how decisions are an important factor in life and once made are very hard to
turn around. Using Paul's brother Anthony, Schwartz shows that once he made the
decision to join the Hare Krishnas there was no turni .....

A Dolls House
<view this essay>.... she was your typical housewife. She never left the house, mostly because her husband was afraid of the way people "would talk." I do not know if but a few people knew about their marriage, and that was the way Torvald wanted it to be. It really wasn't her fault she was the way she was, it was mostly Torvald's for spoiling her. Nora relies on Torvald for everything, from movements to thoughts, much like a puppet that is dependent on its puppet master for all of its actions. Her carefree spirit and somewhat childish manners are shown throughout the play with statements such as, "Is that my little lark twittering out there?" and "Is that my squirrel rumm .....
