<view this essay>.... have found a million answers but none of them seemed to satisfy my equally curious and terribly scientific mind .and not only that it is the difficulty of telling a tender little soul that we're now in the process of planting more and more evil everyday that it's become impossible to control it's devilish crops. That each new day we're causing millions and millions of people to suffer and even die just because we can't "discuss matters" anymore.
Sometimes i wonder is this "do or die " method going to be our only way of communication. Will we ever get to know the meaning of the word peace again or is humanity cursed to suffer forever.
All these thoughts and que .....

Catcher In The Rye 4
<view this essay>.... the book. D.B. was on Holden’s mind often. One way that he was on Holden’s mind was how much he cared about D.B. and his personality. "He used to be just a regular writer… Now he’s out in Hollywood being a prostitute". Holden often thought that D.B should leave his job in Hollywood writing movies and go back to his old life writing short stories. He should do that so that he could stop trying to please the people and just please himself. Another way that D.B was on Holden’s mind was how Holden thought about the many stories that D.B. would read him at night. When thinking of this it would remind Holden of the good times at home, t .....

to infuse them with shades of deeper meaning” (163). This means that the words themselves are important, but not as important as the voice behind them. Words alone contain literal and figurative meanings, but these meanings can be more easily understood with the human understandings of voice tones. Finally, after Mrs. Flowers reads the beginning of A Tale of Two Cities aloud with all the emotions of her spoken words, the only way Marguerite can respon .....

<view this essay>.... in the best possible way.
While there are many different types of prayers, the most common
type is a prayer of petition. These are prayers that ask God to do
something or to give something that are truly desired or needed. God
always hears every prayer that is lifted to the heavens. “The mills of the
gods...” can be interpreted as synonymous to God's constant hearing and
answering of the many prayers that come to Him. God weighs the
practicality of each prayer, always keeping in mind His master plan for
each person's life. He carefully considers these prayers in light of how
each alternative will affect the petitioner's life and the lives of t .....

The Musee De Beaux Arts
<view this essay>.... its subject different from many other poems. The subjects of many other poems -love, war, etc.- are recognized and commented on by the poets. This is not the case here, for Auden shows art's importance by his initial comment that "About suffering, they were never wrong, the old masters," then investigates how the Old Masters show that they were never wrong. The Old Masters don't exactly have to represent people but I believe Auden is referring to the chorus of Oedipus. The chorus knows all about suffering and they know it shouldn't be. This poem is also written poorly because people don't deserve a well written poem. People don't notice the problems because pe .....

<view this essay>.... the next twenty-eight years. The by-product of copper sulfide mining is sulfuric acid. Sulfuric acid is the largest negative environmental impact made by any type of mining. This mine would generate nearly forty-four million tons of waste. Half of the waste would be used to fill the empty mine shaft and the other half would be put in a waste “pond”. The pond would be a ninety foot-tall building that covered almost 355 acres, making it the largest toxic waste dump in Wisconsin history. Even if the mine plan were safe, the pond would only hold the waste for 140 years. After that time the lining would dissolve and set twenty-two million tons of toxic wa .....
