Government Spending & Budget
<view this essay>.... If this plan were implemented, in the year 2002, the U.S.
Government would have the first balanced budget since 1969.
There is doubt by citizens that a balanced budget will become
reality. A recent Gallop Poll from January, 1996 showed the budget as the
#1 concern among taxpayers, but 4/5 of those interviewed said they doubt
the GOP will do the job (Holding 14). Meanwhile, an ABC poll from November
reported that over 70% of those polled disapprove of the current
performance by Congress, and most blamed politicians for failure to take
action (Cloud 3709). These accusations of failure to follow through come
with historical proof that Congress a .....

<view this essay>.... the national debt of the United States, he estimated it at
close to $70 million. After alternately rising and falling, the debt stood at
only $4 million, or 21 cents per capita, in 1840. That was the lowest point ever
reached by the public debt of the U.S. After 1840 it rose to a peak, in the last
year of the Civil War, of almost $2.68 billion and a per capita figure of $75.01.
The only justification for debt of any significant amount was a war. By 1900
this had been reduced to under $1 Billion. By 1919, the end of World War I, the
debt had climbed to $25.5 Billion. In each of the following years the debt was
reduced, and by 1930 stood at $18.1 Billion. Wit .....

The Dow Jones And Company
<view this essay>.... has been changed to preserve historical continuity. The DJIA is
the best-known market indicator in the world because it is old enough that
many generations of investors have become accustomed to quoting it, and
because the US stock market is the globe's biggest market index.
Originally, Charles H. Dow simply added up the prices of the
stocks in his average and divided by the number of stocks. But over time
the divisor has been changed to preserve historical continuity. If the Dow
were an average,as it once was,it would be determined with simple math
skills:by adding up the prices of its companies shares, dividing that by
thirty. But the stock market can so .....

Marketing Project
<view this essay>.... the shortcomings of this incredible technology intimidates the average
person. There has to be a liaison, an educator, a hand-holder, someone that is
there, patient and understanding, willing to teach and guide the most timid of
users. This is where my service comes in to play. A service that is there for
the computer novice, a strong, knowledgeable voice just a phone call away,
soothing the anxieties, relieving the pressures of ignorance.

because of their fear due to lack of knowledge. As a test .....

Economics: Proposal To Cut The Budget Deficit
<view this essay>.... kind of change could severly
cripple the economy. Taxes must be raised, yet to offset the taxes, some
spending must be spent to help profit the economy. My plan is similar to
the Gramm-Rudman Hollings Law, except these cuts are possible, but it will
take more than 1 term.
The taxing that I plan would move the aggregate demand curve to the
left, as money is taken away from the people. Imposing the Ad Valorem tax
on energy, increasing the average residential bills by $50 a year would
reduce the deficit by 25 billion, and shrink the economy by 4 billion.
Making all entitlements subject to income tax would reduce the deficit by
74 billion and shrink the .....

U.S Investment In Mexico
<view this essay>.... third largest market for total U.S. exports,
behind Canada and Japan. In 1992, Mexico surpassed Japan as the second largest
export market for U.S. manufactured goods. Mexico now accounts for $1 out of
every $10 of total U.S. exports.
After the passing of NAFTA, bilateral trade was quite balanced in 1994,
with the U.S. registering a surplus of $1.3 billion, virtually unchanged from
1993. However, there was a sharp increase in trade opportunities, as both import
and export growth exceeded 20 percent. One-fifth of the total trade that occurs
between the United States and Mexico was created in 1994.
One of the major sectors that holds a large promise for .....
