Living The American Dream
<view this essay>.... all, or so it seems. Even actors and sports stars have
their problems. Maybe drug or family, but we hardly ever catch a glimpse at
this side.
One of the people that I see living the great American dream would have to
be Will Smith. I feel that he is living the dream because it seems as
though he has it all. Hit movies, hit cd's, a beautiful wife, a beatiful
child, money and lots of it, and health. The main reason though that I
think he is living this dream is because he was voted the number one nicest
actor on and off the set. This would be a great title to be given. I would
be honored if I was voted this. He is an inspiring actor because of this.
He is a gre .....

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC)
<view this essay>.... chartered by the comptroller of the currency under federal law and state-chartered banks that get membership in the system. Other banks may be insured if they meet qualifications for the insurance. In 1989, the FDIC received all the functions from the Federal Savings and Loan Insurance Corp. (FSLIC). Now the FDIC controls two separate deposit funds, one, the Bank Insurance Fund for commercial banks, and the other, the Savings Association Insurance Funk for thrift institutions that were previously insured by the FSLIC. When an institution is closed by chartering authority, the FDIC makes payment of insured deposits to all of the failed institution’s depo .....

Tariffs And Trade Restrictions To Save Jobs
<view this essay>.... no such thing as a free lunch. As it turns out, import restrictions do not save jobs, they cost them. The flaw in the protectionist's argument is to view only a tiny part of the economy, imagining how it would be affected by taxing its foreign competitors, ignoring the remainder of the economy, and then concluding that what is best for that small part of the economy must be good for the whole. It's a laughable logic.
Import restrictions can take several forms. Typically, Congress will use tariffs and quotas to protect a domestic firms from foreign competition. Tariffs are a monetary tax on each unit of an imported commodity. Quotas are a numerical limit on the .....

Historical data shows that the inflation corrected ROR over a 20 year period is clearly higher for Stocks, except for a period in the mid-1970’s when stock returns dropped below T-bills. Periods of high inflation in the 70’s are the primary drivers of the stock ROR decline. T-bills have historically had a much lower 2.5% maximum ROR that has not been prevalent until the past few years. Bonds have consistently had negativ .....

Blue Collar Student: Are Jobs Good Or Bad?
<view this essay>.... car and the insurance required to drive it. It
also allows students to get a sense of independence as they are not always
relying on mom and dad to give them money. For example, your friend Jim

and makes $4.50 an hour. At the end of that week , Jim has $80 that he can
call his own. Jim could go to the movies, buy a new pair of shoes, or do
